In the heart of the coolest neighborhood in the world (source Lonely Planet 2017) Oltrarno. In a splendid 17th century building, first floor with lift, just finished renovating with luxury materials. It consists of entrance with living room with sofa and smart TV, fully equipped kitchen (stove, oven, sink, kettle, toaster and all the accessories for a meal), dining table. The first bedroom is a suite with double bed, dressing room and private bathroom with sink, toilet, bidet and shower, a second bedroom with double bed, another complete bathroom. Washer and dryer, AC, heating and latest generation wifi make this apartment particularly pleasant. Although the life of the neighborhood is noisy at times, this apartment has windows in a small street and in an internal courtyard avoiding annoying noises. In the neighborhood you can find any service, the neighborhood market in Piazza Santo Spirito is very characteristic. All the main monuments are just a few minutes away on foot.

Excellent location. Clean and spacious. However, it was noisy at night from other residents of the building and street traffic outside. The hosts were not very communicative once we checked in. I was disappointed they didn’t respond to my question about check out.

Lovely and 5 minute fun walk to center of town

Property is in a lovely neighborhood just a quick 5 minute walk to center Florence with the added benefit of crossing one of three bridges on the way, including the iconic Ponte Vecchio should you choose. Highly recommended as you get to explore both sides of the river. Great shops, foods and markets to cruise by on the way. Property is as advertised and great for a family of 3-4 (or two couples). Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on the next visit and there is a dynamite breakfast spot 4 doors down on the same side of the street as well as a very popular pizza place that always has a line 2 blocks away. Rates for our visit were a no-brainer too. (Mid April)

The apartment is as fine but certainly not luxury. Great neighborhood within 20 minutes walk from everything . Property manager was very good to deal with. Very little in way of essentials. Bring your own paper towels, they only supply one roll of TP , no salt etc. be prepared to purchase all your basics. We took ours with to our next apartment

Location, location, location!

Very nice apartment in a great location. Close to lots of restaurants, shopping and cute little cafes. My 2 girlfriends and I enjoyed having space to relax and unwind at the end of the day. It was great having 2 bathrooms and a small kitchen to make coffee and have breakfast. David was quick to respond when we asked for extra towels. Would recommend bringing your own toiletries as what was supplied was only for a day or two. Definitely recommend staying at this lovely apartment right across the river from the heart of Florence!

We loved staying in this apartment in the Spirito neighborhood. Convent to sights and restaurants. Traffic is tough but drivers had no problems picking us up. Very quiet. Grocery store just downstairs.

Excellent stay!

Great apt in trendy Florence neighborhood. The host met us at the property and provided an overview. The apt is newly renovated and very well equipped with everything you would need. It was ideal for 2 couples traveling together, each having their own bath. The check in time was noon which was a huge plus since we were taking an early train into Florence. I would highly recommend this unit, and the communication with host was excellent. Note: the listing says it has a dryer, but there is only a washer.

Beautiful Apartment, awesome location

First time visiting Florence and we couldn't have picked a better place. Great neighborhood easily walkable to key sites around town. The place was beyond expectations, very nicely decorated and the hosts were awesome to work with on check in. Would stay here again.

Florence Apartment Oltrano

I stayed 10 days and thought the apartment was in a great residential neighborhood. If you want less tourists it’s the place. David & Britta gave great information to check-in. Check-out was confusing, especially being told I need to pay a cash city tax, 70 Euro, to the host. After contacting VRBO, they said I should not have paid that tax and there is nothing they can do to get my money back. Beware!! Don’t pay anything outside of your VRBO booking.

Great location in Florence

Really a great spot for our 30 day visit. Close to everything but in a quieter area with great local spots and charm. A couple shortcomings in listing. The washer/dryer is just a washer. There is no barbecue, as listing says. There is also a city tax the listing does not mention but collected on check out. This is really a great area to stay and we recommend it.

Great stay in Florence

This apartment was fabulous. So spacious, clean, great location, modern, 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms. Host very responsive. Just a few steps away the square has great variety of restaurants where we ate all 4 nights. Right on the street, steps away is the best gelato we had in Italy. The street has all the amenities. We walked everywhere,- about 20 min or so to Duomo area and everywhere we wanted to go was walkable aside from getting to the train station. Best to reserve a taxi in advance as hard to hail and the host was helpful with that. Florence is filled with tourists and it was nice to stay away from the main tourist area. Day trip to Sienna was easy. Would highly recommend the apt and would stay again.
