Warning! The communication has been awful with the host, which is a property management company. As soon as we arrived, there were three trash bins filled to the brim with the nastiest smell to greet us. This was on Saturday, which they claim the trash is picked up on Thursdays. We later discovered that in the basement apartment, there is black mold in the closet, a screechy noise that last for a while when flushing the toilet, pink mold on a clear shower curtain and that’s what my family members that were in the basement had multiple bug bites and we are not sure from what kind of bugs. In the upstairs unit, the icemaker did not work and I as the guest, had to deice it to have it in functioning form. The TV had to be reset as it did not even cut on. The sinks have lingering water, which takes a few minutes for it to actually go down the drain. I feel that there are plumbing issues that have not been addressed for a very long time. When I contacted the host, none of my actual concerns were addressed. Their response was simply, we can we send a maintenance person out there. I certainly did not want this to occur during our vacation stay and interrupt our time relaxing. Nor did I want a maintenance person sent in the home with all of our belongings in there when we were not there. I don’t think that’s a very professional way of handling concerns of a guest.The property was located close to the beach as described. I just was not anticipating all of the issues.
