Our fantastic stay started before we even arrived! We received a message that stated if we were in the area early, to come by and check in. If our room was not ready they would give us resort passes until it was. Before we had even finished lunch, our room was ready—- about 4 hours early. The communication and the fact that a hotel did this was such a pleasant surprise. Of course we just dropped off our luggage and went straight to the beach. No need to pack beach towels, lounging chairs or even a shell bag. Just pack some sunscreen and bug spray. Restaurant service and food was good. For breakfast, it is more like a cafe. We grabbed our coffee and breakfast sandwich and headed straight to the beach. For lunch the day before, I had a Sonoma Salad, it included fresh grilled chicken. It was very well presented and delicious. My husband had a burger which he said was very good. I would highly recommend the stay here! Easy beach access, parking is included (public beaches on Sanibel charge $5 an hour and from what I read, you need to get there early) Tons of shells and good memories.

When we checked in we were surprised to see a fairly new looking room everything new nice. On the second night i needed to iron my shirt we had diner reservations the iron & board are in a little cubby built into the wall and low & behold i pull the board first out comes a large womens leggins & a used condom and iam a little old for a condom & my wifes a medium all day long... this only the beginning next my wife goes on the beach & gets attacked by NO- SEE-UM BUGS (Sand fleas) 26 bites & counting.. but what aggravated me a day before check in they the hotel let us know that they had this bug problem which kind of made me want to cancel.. But guess what if you cancel you lose 1/2 the money. ... so yeah they should change the name to Sanibug island ..Not Happy...and if i don't hear from somebody soon this review has just began Respectfully submitted Rj Corio

On our first night. Fire alarm went off. Called front desk. Rude lady did not know anything rest the alarm went off again. Fire department called. Smell of smoke coming from an electrical room right behind our room. No information and no follow up. Next morning house keeping knoced on our door at 9:30am unacceptable. Hair dryer handle dirty filter dirty. Coffeemaker needs to be replaced. Shower floor needs a better claning. Also bathroom floor. Some mold on tiles. Open Closet in bathroom for clothes not a good idea as bathroom was full of steam after showers. Grounds need to be better kept meaning removing deadplants and weeds

It would have been nice to know in advance that we had 2 flights of stairs to take our luggage to the room Hot water took close to 10 minutes to feel before showering Front desk associate could use some more personality Beautiful location though! Pool very nice too

Very nice Resort. Great to see that they have reopened. The area still has a good amount of storm damaged properties. Many are trying to rebuild and reopen. SIBR has done a great job on their rebuild. The Resort lacks a place to sit and or hang out with your group. Just the lobby area has a sofa and chairs on one side, and 4 chairs around a coffee table on the other side of the Lobby. The Evening and Nightshift Front Desk personnel were great with us hanging up front and talking, they even interjected with our laughing and conversations.

The noise level in the room was 8 out of 10. The distance from the room to the beach was approximately the length of fifteen football fields. The resort fee was ridiculous as it only provided a towel and beach chair ( located about 100 yards from the beach). Never stay at this property again!

Steps from the beach for long walks Onsite coffee house and Burger place were awesome. Tiki bar staff friendly and nice pool area. Beds were comfy and the air conditioning worked like a charm! Only warning when you check in get the spray…those little sand bugs or whatever they are called come out and that oil was a save our legs MUST!!!
