Firstly, the locations pictures are extremely outdated. The backyard is, in the nicest way, a disaster. The fence is torn apart, everything is overgrown, and broken items are out in the yard. However, there is an overhang that i guess was built after the pictures that is a plus but isn’t even mentioned so I don’t understand that. The inside place was actually pretty nice. Except it was obvious the floors and other areas of the house were not cleaned completely, emphasis on the dirty floors. Again a thing that was a plus isn’t even mentioned is that there is a bunch of beds in one of the rooms on top of all the couches and other two bed rooms and a bunk room. So the house does sleep a lot of people. Although, the place is not 10 mins away from Destin. To get to anywhere nice or the beaches, it’s at least 20 min drive or uber. And to cross the bridge it’s 4 each way. Ubers are pretty expensive down here so it’s definitely a price to pay. Also Check in was a mess, and the host just forgot i guess? I don’t know he was an hour late on giving us the access code so that really messed up the start of our trip. Whole place needs work and so does the people owning it. Pretty disappointing honestly at some points.

The biggest issues we had were, Destin Beaches are not 10 minutes as the listing states but are around 18-20 minutes and you have to pay tolls going that way. Also, the listing states there are 4 bunk beds in one of the rooms, there were only 2 and were more like full/queen size. The other room it stated there were two, and there was only one bunk bed. I think that could be phrased a lot differently as a bunk bed means set and not individual beds. Upon arrival, the floors had clearly not been swept or mopped and were very dirty. I am still giving this house 4/5 stars because besides lack of communication it was in a very good location and big enough for our family. Still a very nice home.

Very very bad experience

We reached the property and it was already occupied with someone else.we were 16 people.We stood in front of the property for 3 hrs struggling with the property owner ,Vrbo customer care but nothing happened.We had property booking but still we didn’t have any place to go.They said they will refund and nothing else they can do.Later with lot of struggle they finally said to book somewhere else and they will pay the difference of the original cost.Very very bad experience.

Wonderful Stay!

The host was very responsive both with questions about the area as well as with any questions we had at the house. It was very nice and allowed for fun bonding and resting time. Great backyard area where you can have smores and chill at night. Having a considerate and flexible host made this trip even better! Highly recommend!
