Friendly welcome, clean bedroom and bathroom, handy location for gatwick. Bed was uncomfortable and bathroom fan was making noise all night but it was a very handy location.

We were delayed due to train issues but were still welcomed by their staff though we arrived late in the evening. Their rooms are very comfortable and welcoming. What's unique about the Oakhurst Gatwick was their invitation the night before to complete a menu which allowed their chef the next morning to customize your hot meal breakfast, according to your tastes. As a smaller hotel, the atmosphere at breakfast was peaceful, personalized and refreshing.

We were more needy than usual due to sickness. They provided for our needs graciously. The shuttle transport for pickup and drop off to the airport was fast and efficient. The English breakfast and coffee was fantastic as well. The owner and staff were wonderful. Highly recommend this accommodation to all.

Lovely place close to Gatwick

The guest house is very close to the Gatwick airport. Room is clean and comfy. Pleanty of parking space. A nice place to stay for catching an early flight the next day.

The owner and staff were so very friendly and accommodating to us! We arrived with the plan of going into the city and John offered to take our luggage to the inn for us so we could catch a train rather than pay for his shuttle to take us to the inn only to bring us back to catch the train at the airport station. The room was small but lovely, clean an d the bed was comfy! I loved that the place was so close to gatwick airport. I also liked that there were usb ports in the room so we didn’t have to worry about universal plug adapters. There was a fan in our room as it was especially warm the evening we stayed. The full and continental breakfasts were scrumptious and the backyard terrace was quaint. Things do shut down however after 10 ish and there aren’t any stores nearby so you would need to plan ahead if you wanted something to snack on in the common room in the evening. Having said that, the common room had a fridge with access to glasses and water. There is also a lovely footpath only a few minutes away from the inn that I would have explored further had I known it was there. All in all, it was a very warm hospitable experience staying at this inn! Thank you John and Leda and I can’t recall the name of the young lady who shuttled us back to the airport but thank you too!

Good location to airport

Little difficulty finding, had road closure signs on both ends of street, host was very nice, breakfast was good, quiet and convenient to airport.
