Recently renovated from top to bottom, this coastal modern townhouse was thoughtfully created to feel less like a typical vacation rental and more like a place people genuinely enjoy staying awhile. I've always loved turning ordinary spaces into places people genuinely enjoy staying awhile.

When designing The Stearns House, my goal wasn't simply to create another vacation rental. I wanted to create a space that feels comfortable, welcoming and thoughtfully put together.

I also feel strongly that bad lighting should require consent, and I've taken an equally firm stance against low thread counts and thin towels.

Rhein Jaymes, my white Labrador and four-legged Chief Hospitality Officer and the property's head of quality control, has throughly inspected comfort levels, evaluated relaxation opportunities and ensures The Stearns House maintains its strict no-participation-in-the-low-thread-count movement policy.
