Disappointing
Upon arrival on property and entering the home I did a walk through as I always does when renting homes. The property was not previously cleaned. The beds were not made, the kitchen had a trash bag full of beer bottles, dirty linen on the beds and comforters, dirty washclothes and towels, soiled women napkins in the trash. It was disgusting to walk in the bathroom and walk into that. At this point, I was furious being I drove all the way from my destination, to arrive late at the home with my kids, and see the home in this condition. Now I contact the host (Leo P.) and he responded quickly. I told him and sent pictures of the condition of the house. He said someone was to come by earlier and cleaned the house. Also he paid the hired individual for the home to be cleaned. I told him it was not cleaned. He offered and ask if I wanted the home cleaned that morning by 10 am. I told him no being I have plans to go out with my kids. I told him I was going to take everything off and buy laundry detergent and buy disinfectant to clean the house. It was nothing for her to do and I needed the cleaning right then and there. Not in the morning! He agreed to refund the cleaning fee if VRBO did not. I did.not receive any refund for the cleaning fee. I contact VRBO twice and still not resolved and Leo did not keep his word as agreed if VRBO did not refund the fee. As for me I will not rent this property again because the host does not stand by his word.
