I had a lovely quiet nights sleep; kind and thoughtful owner 🙂

The bed was comfy. The bathroom wasn't very clean and the cupboard had fly poo in it. There was a hole in the box around the toilet. There was a container behind the toilet catching a leek

Comfortable room, clean bathroom if your in the front of the building be warned the beautiful little church opposite chimes four times an hour every hour 24 hours a day !
My stay was good although confusion on checking in as there was no record that I had paid a £20 deposite. However I sorted this with the member of staff. Upon entering my room it was still in a state of preperation and the bed was not made or any sheets and the bins were still open. No issue as the member of staff who showed me to my room did the honours and made the room up. This was very helpful.
Used as a quick one night stay for going to a comedy gig in Brighton. Well worth the money. Staff lovely and room clean. Bathroom was not within our room but we had an assigned bathroom further round the corridor.
I am not one for leaving negative reviews, but this place really wasn’t a nice place to stay. The place smelled of urine, the lights flickered continuously, TV didn’t work… it really wasn’t worth £95! I felt even further ripped off when I purchased 2x small bottles of water for £7 down at the bar!! Very bad vibe/atmosphere to this place. Definitely urge people to avoid.
The room did not look like the photos on their website (room 5 large). Could do with some curtains as only a blind. No breakfast available although says on their website 'breakfast available at extra cost'.Green emergency light should be in corridor not in the room. Size of the room was ok if you just want somewhere to sleep for the night.
Ideally situated for an overnight stay if walking the South Downs Way. Excellent Sunday lunch - we could understand why it was popular! The Landlord was very helpful in providing the best route to re join the South Downs Way the following morning. Unfortunately the nearby cafes were not open for breakfast on Monday - The Green Welly doesn't open and The Nutmeg doesn't open on Bank holidays! We resorted to buying two baguettes from The White Lion and having them for breakfast and lunch!
Lovely staff but that does not compensate for a small room, no towels in the room and no breakfast option.

Need to try harder
Not good, room not ready 3hrs after check in time. Freezing cold only put the heating on when I got there, room and bathroom a bit grubby. Food choice very pub type fried. Won't be going back.

Not the best of places I've stayed, but it was fit for purpose (a quick nights sleep before heading off on the southdowns way)
Room 3 advertised with a private bathroom and can clearly see bathroom attached to the room in photo is not what we received room 3 had a shared bathroom down corridor. Also large green emergency light in room so unable to sleep.
Unfortunately the room we had booked had not been cleaned since the previous guests had left, so we arrived to an unmade and dirty room.
The member of staff who was helping us was quite helpful and did get the room cleaned for us but it was done very quickly.
The room was small but neat, but it had a very bad smell of damp probably because there is no extractor fan in the small bathroom area of the room.
This really needs to be rectified as it is not good for guests to be breathing in dampness.
Very pretty village it is in and very nice inside. Would suggest more staff are required here as busy with drinks, food and rooms. It would really benefit this place if they offered breakfast to guests in the morning at a reasonable rate as I’m sure it would be appreciated especially on weekends!
Parking for about two cars so street parking is needed here and on very narrow country roads.
Nice place for a one night stay. Would have liked to try the food there but very busy and could not wait as had a prior engagement to get to.
