Welcome to the NPS Lodge!
The Lodge is a two story farm house in South West North Dakota with an abundance peace and quiet; the nearest neighbor is a mile away. The farm house has been remodeled from top to bottom. We have sleeping accommodations for six; with two full size beds and six twin beds available. The NPS Lodge is perfect for pheasant, deer and antelope hunters . There are good boating /fishing lakes a short drive away. The accommodations are great for groups, like family vacations or family reunions. Bucyrus is 4.9 miles North; Hettinger is 8 miles; Dickinson is a 1 hour drive and Rapid City and Sturgis, SD is 3.5 hours. Hettinger has a regional airport and Dickinson has commercial airline service.

Still Fantastic

Just finished our third stay -- one week for each of the past three summers. Very comfortable and clean house that is well stocked with appliances, supplies, etc. and the hosts go out of their way to help you have a great trip. It's also a beautiful setting on the prairies.

Great farmhouse getaway

This was a wonderful place to stay to explore North and South Dakota. Our group had a great time. We really enjoyed being out away from town and having such a nicely appointed place to call home for a week. We would stay again for sure!

Unforgettable

This property is amazing. The house had everything we could’ve wanted, and more. Amazing views. Plenty of room for six of us for a week. Bird lovers paradise. Night sky is breathtaking. If we’re every traveling within 100 miles of this place, we would happily go out of our way to star here again. All the other 5 star reviews are completely accurate!

What a Great place to stay! Nice older farm place with many updates. Nice new flooring through-out, very nice updated bathroom and shower, tons of refrigerator space. Very nice cozy place. Tons of beds. We will definitely stay here again!!! A++

Fantastic stay under the stars.

We planned a trip for astronomy photography under dark and clear skies. This site does did not disappoint. The view was essentially clear to the horizon, with no artificial lighting as far as you could see. The Milky Way was visible to the horizon. We were able to collect some very good data. The house was very clean, and remarkably well equipped. Everything we needed was available. Everything in the house worked as it should. There was only two of us, but the site seems great for a group reunion. Comfortable beds, lots of yard space for a picnic. Views were great. Mule deer came into the fields every night, and pheasant were right in the property. The Owner/Host was excellent. Very responsive for questions (although we did not need to ask many because the property is well set up). We had a great stay, and the host and host were top notch.

Home Sweet Home

We absolutely loved our stay at the NPS Lodge. It truly felt like home. It was cozy and had everything we needed. The owners went above and beyond and even set out toys for our 1 year old to play with. We even spotted some Antelope behind the house. We highly recommend!

Farm house with gorgeous buttes view!

View of flat topped Buttes is amazing! Very quiet with no other residences in sight. This is the perfect experience of SW North Dakota prairies staying in the farm house homesteaded by the family ancestors. Very clean, great AC, comfortable with a large kitchen and dining area. It is like staying at your grandma's house in the country. Very unique place to stay.

Peace and quiet
