Great boutique hotel

This is a great little hotel adjacent to the big hub of activity in the city. Convenient for just about everything you want to do and close to many, many restaurants.

The staff were so kind and helpful specially Shahin who speaks English as well as Turkish. He helped us to have a comfort stay and also helped us to have our transportation with cheapest price and fastest way. He also arranged our breakfast half an hour sooner than usual to make sure we reach our flight.

Better options closer to Taksim for similar price

Ok place for an overnight but quite dated and tired. Also, 10 - 15 min walk to main bar and restaurant area as there is nothing close to the hotel to get a meal or have a drink

Amazing value for money!

We really enjoyed our stay at Santa Hill; it was quite easy to get there from Taksim Square (10-15 minutes walk) and they immediately checked us in. The room was spacious enough for both of us, and we even had a balcony! Our room was in the top floor, where ceilings are low, particularly in the shower which was a bit incovenient for me, but still managed to get a nice warm shower (pressure was not great, but we managed!) Breakfast doesn't have such a great variety, but it is filling and there are some good local products. We were most impressed by the service in the hotel; we didn't require much, but everyone seemed eager to help even if there was a bit of a language barrier.

beside a highway!

The hotel service is very good and helpful, but the hotel doesn't really have a very good location. First, the taxi had a really hard time finding the hotel, and it was because it was in th other side of the highway. The hotel is located in the Taxim area, but having to cross such a busy street right after you leave the hotel is highly unpleasant. I wouldn't come back.

Disappointing hotel

We have stayed in many hotels in Istanbul over the years and this is by far the most disappointing. For the price, it is not good value. The staff were reasonably friendly and the rooms were clean, but the beds were very hard, the shower leaked, the AC unit didn't work and at night if the constant airplane noise didn't keep you up (which the hotel can't help) then the thin walls and wailing cats will. The location wasn't bad - it was near Taksim so good shops and restaurants abound. There are better hotels in Istanbul so shop around for a better value hotel.

Cute and Convenient

Rooms were clean and the Staff was extremely friendly. The front desk manager could speak English but the rest not so much. Everyone was very helpful in calling cabs, giving us sightseeing pointers and responded quickly to any requests. The hotel is close to Taksim Square and has lots of restaurants within 10 minute walking distance. Good choice for a family...

good location : 7-10 minutes walk from taksim; 3 minutes by car nice room colors( gold) heating system could be better especially that it was freezing in istanbul breakfast not bad but could be more rich check in at 12 so They kept my luggage at the lobby after 12

Hotel Sante Hill

A brief but enjoyable stay at the Sante Hill. The taxi driver had trouble finding it, even with the address, but as later experience proved, Istanbul taxi drivers have trouble finding most places. The welcome was very warm and friendly and the room lovely, the only issue I had was there wasn't a bright enough lamp to see to put my 'face' on,( we were there for a wedding so thought I should make an effort!). Didn't sample the breakfast so can't comment on that and some people might find the fact that the 'bathroom' is really just a partitioned area in the room with panels that don't go all the way up to the ceiling, a bit off putting noise wise!!!!! maybe not ideal for a first romantic weekend away. It didn't bother us though, (is that a good or a bad thing I wonder????) If I was going back to Istanbul I would certainly stay at the Hotel Santa Hill again.

Average Hotel, very clean though. If your in istanbul, want to stay in taxim area and use your hotel just to sleep then its perfect... a bit loudy, since its on main road... will use it again if i have to stay in taxim area, however for same price i will definetly get much better in other area
