The view I got from the 10th floor was nice. However, the placement of the window seemed odd, as if my super-single bed was to function as a daybed too, right beside the window. And, as with many hotel rooms I've been in, there was dust visibly on the top of the shower curtain rods, the toilet lamp, and parts of the desk. Nothing too difficult to address with wet wipes. However, the staff were professional and pleasant. Nothing too difficult. Just note the tapwater isn't potable, and you need to use the water dispenser at the lobby. The trick is to bring a water bottle or buy a 2L one if you're staying a few days.

This place has left an extremely bad experience for us. First off, the parking lot was full when we saw there were a couple of lots still not taken. We have to find our way to find our own parking lot. Thereafter when we check in it was using a kiosk and by keying my name there wasnt any booking. Have to ask the reception staff for assistance. The staff has to key in the booking number and my booking was found. We have to do all the check in ourselves by scanning the passport and made payment for the accomdation tax. When we choose card, our payment cant get through. And we have to ask the reception staff for assistance again. This reception staff came and assist us while checking with another staff perhaps her senior or supervisor. While they talked, the senior/supervisor was giving us an attitude expression and stare at us. This totally put me off. I have noticed any guests who are japanese, they will be friendly and gave their best service. As a non japanese, we felt their hostile service. However the reception staff still provide us with a friendly service. Overall i wont recommend this hotel after my experience

Toyoko inn is always a great stay. Rooms are clean and comfy. Convenient location, friendly staff, good breakfast included. This hotel was very busy so breakfast was hard to find a seat. Bag lockers on the lobby were a great addition to store your bags before checkin (free). It’s always been a good stay at their many locations. Great value for money Highly recommend

I would give 6 stars if I could. The hotel room and lobby areas are spotless. Staff are also very helpful and attentive. Free breakfast was tasty and wonderful. You get to store your luggage for free for the day of check in and check out so you could go sightsee carefree. Amenities include PJs, coffee, tea, toiletries, etc. Overall very very satisfied with our stay. We also got a water view room so that was a bonus.

Excellent business hotel.

Excellent business hotel with great, friendly staff. A short walk from Kokura Station and my room had a nice view of the waterfront port. Complimentary breakfast of japanese comfort foods, plus breads/pastries & coffee was satisfying & serviced by the nicest & hardest working staff.

It is very convenient to the train station, Kokura Castle and especially the convention center which is why I was there. The room was quite small and the bed very firm. The breakfast room has a nice view. I would have given a higher score but for the bed.

Very nice place with a sea view in my room. It s still pretty new. The staff are very helpful and patient. Highly recommended, especially for those who like anime and manga coz a building of anime is 2min walk from the hotel.
