Housekeeping requires significant improvement. On the first night of my stay, I arrived to find that the toilet had not been flushed. The room should have been prepared as a fresh room, but instead it was unhygienic and unpleasant. I was too tired to request a room change, and given that I booked a special rate through Expedia, I did not expect that a change would be accommodated. Housekeeping service appeared to improve after the second night. While I do tip $20 per day, which is not a large amount, basic cleanliness—such as a properly cleaned bathroom—should be a standard expectation at any reputable hotel, regardless of star rating. Aside from this issue, everything else was satisfactory. The location is excellent, and the staff are helpful and courteous.
