My recent stay at the APA Hotel in Kyoto was fantastic! If you're looking for an incredibly convenient, clean, and comfortable base for exploring the city, this is it. The location alone makes this hotel a standout. Being just a short, easy walk from Kyoto Station meant all our transportation—Shinkansen, local trains, and buses—was right on our doorstep. We were able to start our sightseeing immediately without any hassle. The hotel itself was spotless. The room, while efficiently sized, was exceptionally clean and thoughtfully designed to maximize space. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the modern amenities, including the speedy free Wi-Fi and the great little soaking tub, made it a perfect retreat after a long day of exploring temples and gardens. Finally, the staff were consistently friendly and professional. Check-in and check-out were smooth and quick, and everyone we interacted with was helpful and polite. This level of service really elevates the whole experience. For a great-value stay that doesn't compromise on location or comfort in Kyoto, I highly recommend the APA Hotel. We'll definitely be staying here again on our next trip!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! It’s conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from the Shinkansen station and is centrally located near many popular attractions, making it easy to explore the area. The air conditioning worked perfectly — a big plus after a warm day of sightseeing! The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and like everywhere in Japan, the customer service was top notch. We were also able to drop off our luggage early, and the process was smooth and easy to arrange. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

The room upon check-in wasn’t as clean as expected. There were finger prints and substances on the desk and table. There was hair in the tub, on the ground in the bathroom and on the toilet seat. Overall, the location of the hotel is perfect we are at restaurants less than 5 minutes away. Not to mention how close the Kyoto station is. Plus, 7-eleven was right across the street, very convenient.

We really enjoyed our one night at this hotel. The room was perfectly large enough for the two of us in two separate queen beds, which were really comfortable. The bathroom was small but good. Location is excellent, right next to the hotel. Would definitely stay here if we came to Kyoto again.
