Perfect Kyoto stay

Excellent hotel for a stay in Kyoto. Staying near a train station is a must and this was 10 steps from the exit. So convenient when traveling with luggage. Staff was very welcoming and able to assist with any questions or recommendations. Simple restaurants and convenient stores nearby and only 4 train stops to main Kyoto station. Walking distance to imperial palace and Niko-jo castle. Room was spacious for Japanese standards and beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend.

We had a nice stay, except they start closing breakfast before 10am, especially if you want an omelette you better be down there by 9:30 Or they will ignore you even if you’re standing in front of them while they clean up the omelette bar. The property is nice especially the staff.

Excellent hotel, right next to Marutamachi station which is less than 10min from Kyoto station on the Karasuma line in a quiet and safe neighborhood close to many attractions and dining places. Very clean rooms and surroundings and very helpful staff. Breakfast was very good with very many choices even for vegetarians. Staff make every attempt to help understand the food and ingredients to make appropriate choices. Free water, free coffee and umbrellas to borrow. Exceptionally comfortable.

It was really nice but the rooms are super tiny, which can be claustrophobic if your window only faces a building. Otherwise great! Location is super walkable, the room had nice amenities, etc.

Modern and Eco friendly hotel

We had a fantastic stay at the newly opened Hyatt Place Kyoto. 1. Perfect Location – The hotel is in a quiet area with a supermarket and convenience store right next door. Plus, there’s a subway station nearby, making it super easy to get around. 2. Comfortable & Thoughtful Design – The room was compact but well-designed. The lobby has a Nespresso machine, there’s a laundry room, and even a microwave available. 3. Tasty Breakfast – has everything you need, and the food was good. What made our stay extra special was the amazing staff—so friendly and helpful! They gave us great recommendations for local restaurants. A special thanks to Mr. Park and IMATA for their kindness and attention to detail. For the price, this hotel is unbeatable. We’ll definitely stay here again next time
