The Blossom was by far our favorite hotel during our two week stay in Japan. The location was a little far from most places, but the train was close. The hotel staff was welcoming and helpful. The room was very nice and bug. The bed was super comfortable. The breakfast buffet was amazing! I will stay here again in the future!

I have stayed in a number of different hotels in Kyoto. The Blossom Kyoto was recommended to me by a friend. The staff is professional and welcoming, and the hotel itself is new-ish and comfortable. While my room was spacious and nicely designed, it faced a building right next door. I'd choose another larger room on the other side of the building (not on the street, which gets pretty loud) if I were to stay here again. I didn't use the spa/bath, so I can't comment on that; but the lounge nearby, with free snacks and drinks, is a very nice touch; and the washer dryers were clearly a hit with everyone (as they were full almost all day long). I would stay here again.

Two Night stay in Takayama

Two night stay in Takayama as part of a 2-week tour in Japan. Highly recommend coming to Hida region for A5 Wagyu beef, seeing smaller (less touristy) areas of Japan. Took a bus from Takayama train station to Shirakawa-go one day--in hindsight, skip the bus to Shirakawa-go and just go to the Takayama cultural center folk village and see the same A-frame traditional Japanese homes there. Highly recommend the Kyoto Blossom hotel. Fantastic Onsen, large rooms, breakfast buffet delicious, bar for evening drinks. I also recommend a bar in town called "The Rabbit Hole".
