That hotel is to old the pictures are about 30 years old, the pool is out of service the tv dint work only one Chanel the shower gets cold then hot then cold again and so on

We stayed in a standard king room. The room was did not look like the photos on Expedia. The bathroom was dirty - hair on the sink and counter top and toothpaste on the countertop. There was one standing lamp and 2 bedside lamps and only one bedside lamp worked. The bed was extremely uncomfortable - felt the springs all night. The pillows were flat. Our neighbor was extremely loud - was knocking on the door and yelling at 2-3am. The only plus was the location, only 1 block from heavenly village.

Big pines is perfectly located for exploring Tahoe city . It's withing walking distance of many attraction, restaurant and shops. The free Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. We really had a great time staying at this place.

The pictures do not resemble the rooms at all. Our room was outdated and dirty. Asked to switch rooms and they “upgraded” us to just as dirty of a room. The guy who checked us in understood and apologized and agreed the pictures do not show their actual rooms. We ended up getting a different hotel at another location and have to dispute our refund with Expedia. Save yourself time and stay elsewhere.

Great location

Quick weekend trip to snowboard. Great location and walking distance to everything. Hotel is outdated but we knew that going in and were happy with the location. Wish we brought extra blankets for the bed.

Never come back again

Disappointed the room wasn’t well cleaned. Found pieces of candy wrapping on the floor by the bed, a used contact lens on the bathroom floor, the floors are coming apart, molding, iron board without cover, the sink leaked water all lever the floor. I told them to get it fixed which they did but when I got back from skiing all day, they took all my bath towels, I had to go to the FD and ask for towels so I could shower which they came late. Just not a great place to stay even for the price.

The hotel has a very convenient location, few minutes walk to casinos and Heavenly village. Room we got was clean and cozy. Staff was very nice and informative , with many local recommendations, which really helped. I do appreciate the extra effort staff was making to make us more comfortable throughout the stay.
