Hotel was very convenient with parking on site. The room was quite small but very nice & clean with a comfortable bed. I booked a twin/double & wanted a twin but there was no option to request this. The room was setup as a double & there were no twins available. Not sure if that was the hotel or Expedia at fault!

Attached to (but separate operation from) the National Royal Hotel. We didn’t like the lack of AC on a hot UK day…the room was humid and uncomfortable. The front desk staff was unable to make us comfortable and we left the property after just a few hours. The front desk staff was unable to check us out early and we forfeited one nights stay.

I liked that when I requested a room on a higher floor that they were able to accommodate my request. The security doors between the elevators and the hall to the rooms was a nice security feature.

The location of the hotel is excellent - very close to the tube station and the British Museum. A lovely hotel room with very comfortable beds and very clean. The only thing that I was not happy with is that we were charged a 15% service charge for sitting outside and having table service at The London Pub which belongs to the hotel. We were not made aware of this when we sat down and when paying the bill I was not told about the 15% service charge nor was I given I receipt. I was only told this after I queried why £5 extra had been added to my bill. I was not impressed with this.
