Not Worth It
The VRBO was VERY dated (the online photos were flattering). The house has not had a deep cleaning in quite some time; dust was visible on the furniture, edges of the floor and the carpeting. There were no screens in any of the windows (maybe this is a London thing) but it was warm enough during the day and the lack of AC really necessitated us opening windows. While there were fans in the room, two of them were not working. There were no paper products in the house when we arrived. There were (4) bathrooms - full or partial, but only two of them had toilet paper and only about 1/2 roll. There were no paper towels in the kitchen and only one trash bag. (Not sure if this is normal). The furniture, namely the ottoman in the primary living room and the upstairs master had a broken leg each. The shades in both bathrooms on the middle floor were broken and had to be raised and lowered manually. The dining room table was unstable and would fold up when anyone leaned on it. The kitchen drawers had an accumulation of usual kitchen crumbs, but significant enough that required us to actually clean the silverware before we used it. We provided soap for the bathrooms, kitchen, etc. The water pressure was not consistent and would directly affect another person taking a shower. Flushing a toilet while someone was showering would result in a noticeable temperature change and on our last day there was no hot water.
