Used this property because it was the pick up spot for our Expat Explore tour. Food a little expensive but happy there is a pub right across the lot as well as a couple others within walking distance as well as a couple grocery stores I. Less than a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The train station is right next door. So convenient for getting to London proper.

Lobby was gorgeous, as well as the esthetic of the restaurant. Room was quite worn and in need of an update but good enough for a few nights stay especially since the location is so good. Bathroom wasn't cleaned very well and had to give sink area a good wipe down after check in to clean up some soap scum and hairs leftover from previous stay.

Dirty hotel room

Checked into hotel. Staff pleasant on reception. Got to hotel room and all looked okay apart from the crumbs on the floor and a foil wrapper left at the side of the bin. Next morning I wanted to bath my daughter and noticed lots of hair in the bathtub. I phoned reception to be told that they would send housekeeping. When the housekeepers arrived the youngest of the two swept her hand across the bath & said ‘no hair’ to which I replied ‘yes there is’, she then asked ‘Where?’ So I pointed out that it was in several different areas of the bathtub. She sighed loudly so I then said if it’s a problem I was quite happy to clean it myself if she got me a cloth & spray. She then proceeded to get the cleaning equipment and do it herself. I don’t appreciate being made to feel like I had inconvenienced her just by asking for a clean bathtub which should have been done before we checked in & I certainly didn’t like being made out to be a liar when I say there’s hair in the bath. As an individual that has a holiday let cleaning business myself that hotel room was not up to a standard that would be acceptable to me. I would not stay here again and for the price of the room the hotel needs to ensure better cleanliness.

We enjoyed all of the meals we ate here which included breakfast daily, one dinner, and afternoon tea. Bed was comfortable. Beds were remade several times but sheets were not changed on the days we asked for rooms to be serviced.

it was terrible, the pillows were stained and the floor had significant staining and the toilet was small, we could not fit into the toilet, the paint job was terrible, the television kept turning off and on randomly, no telephone for room service and other services they offer, really disappointed, really loud noises all day and all night, lots banging at night ,could not sleep or relax . we went down to see someone and there was no one there so had no sleep & horrible night it was a 2 star hotel at best. staff were liars. small room, strange layout, door in room which led to another room ,dirty room.

Not a luxury 4 Star Hotel

It is my first time staying at this hotel chain, it didn’t start well because we arrived very late night and was super tired. The check-in was pleasant and we got to our room and realised that the sofa bed had not been made up. Not wanting to go back down I opened the sofa bed myself but found no sheets to make it up so I had to go down to reception to ask for some sheets. The lady was apologetic and had said that it must’ve been a mistake with the Housekeeping because the bed should’ve already been made up which was reassuring to hear because I would have thought the bed would’ve been ready given it as a four-star hotel. They asked if we could move rooms for the night for the room offered to us was a standard room and I had paid for an executive room. I accepted as it was very late and it was not the person’s fault on reception. We were offered the same level of room the following day, but it would’ve meant moving all our luggage again including our cosmetics from the bathroom so we decided just to stay put. The bathroom looks very tired and could do with re-grouting otherwise it was fully equipped for what we needed . This room oversight really surprised me for a 4 star hotel and I am certainly not in a hurry to rebook but I am not adverse to it either if there are no other options should we find ourselves in the same location again in the future. In my experience when travelling to London and wanting a 4 star hotel, the best so far has been Doubletree by Hilton.
