Everything about our stay at the Selywn was perfect, the breakfast choice was very varied and all delicious. Rooms clean and very comfortable. All the staff where excellent and very helpful and happy to help in anyway.

We have enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Selwyn - the hotel is perfectly located for access to Richmond and the station, the rooms are clean and very well decorated, however the standout is the staff who are lovely and welcoming. We want to especially thank Kelly the receptionist who was kind enough to upgrade our room and also left a birthday card in our room which was such a thoughtful touch! The general manager is also very friendly and attentive and both went out of their way to make our stay memorable. This has become our go to hotel for when we stay in London and we would not hesitate to recommend it to others!

Wonderful hotel. Comfortable bed & bedding. Lovely boutique hotel feel. Close to transit. We walked to Kew and took the bus back at the end of the long day. Lovely sitting areas inside & out. Staff recommendation close by breakfast spot is excellent. Lots of restaurants 10-15 m walk away. Had some issues on check-in and again on check-out with the pre-paid parking not being tied to our booking. All in all, would not hesitate to stay again.

From the moment I arrived, my experience at this charming boutique hotel stood out. The building’s quaint exterior, beautiful landscaping, and stunning statement pieces outside immediately caught my eye. Stepping inside, I was delighted by the modern yet nostalgic decor—it felt like a perfect blend of old Hollywood elegance and contemporary comfort. What truly made my stay exceptional was the warm welcome and attention to detail from the management and staff. I had been feeling nervous about my arrival and transportation arrangements, but everything went smoothly. When I reached the meeting point, there was a gentleman holding a sign with my name, Kyra Ketchison. He greeted me kindly, helped me with my connection, and ensured I got safely back to my hotel. Although there was a bit of confusion with two drivers arriving, I appreciated the quick communication—it showed attentiveness and care. The next morning, I was greeted by a lovely woman who answered all my questions with patience and warmth. She made me feel completely at ease and welcomed as I enjoyed breakfast. The waitstaff was equally delightful—smiling, friendly, and genuinely kind—which made my experience even more comfortable. Coming from Hawaii, I felt a real sense of Aloha here, which meant so much to me, especially after hearing that Londoners can sometimes be more reserved. Booked a "classic room" for husband and I and photo's on the website looked very nice and big enough for the two people. In reality the actual size of the room was so small, you couldn't even open up the wardrobe door enough to hang your clothes! Car parking spaces are very small and they tend to overbook the spaces so when you arrive, there aren't any spaces available. We didn't know the hotel was directly under the Heathrow flight path so was woken up at 4am every morning. Won't be returning.
