We stayed for two nights and were surprised to be charged a £40 per night surcharge for a third person in the room. At no point during the booking process through Expedia. was this additional fee made clear to us. Had this charge been transparent at the time of booking, we would have been able to make an informed decision before confirming the reservation. Being presented with this cost only at the hotel felt both unexpected and unfair. In addition, we ordered room service on our first night and were very disappointed with the quality of the food. The pizza was excessively salty to the point that all of us woke up during the night and the following morning feeling extremely dehydrated and unwell. This significantly affected our comfort and enjoyment of the stay.

Overall this is a good hotel with friendly, helpful staff. We had a nice room with all the facilities we could wish for. Most importantly, we had a comfortable bed and a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was good with a wide range of choices although their menu system is a little baffling. So why not a fifth star? We chose to dine there and had a poor experience with inattentive staff ( I had to leave our table twice to find someone to bring us drinks) and a poorly cooked meal. We should have sent the meal back but didn’t. Yes, we would stay again but will probably eat elsewhere next time.

Our stay was excellent at the Stratford. The room was ready for an early check in when we arrived, spacious and clean. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and this made our stay really pleasant. It was to celebrate my mums birthday and they hand delivered a plate of chocolates. The location was perfect for ABBA Voyage which is the reason for our stay. Would definitely recommend and stay again Thankyou!
