We arrived at the Hotel and no place to pull up and bring in our bags. The surroundings were horribly unsafe. You print your own key card. The parking was $38 per day and a very unsafe location and needed to use an elevator. I immediately wanted to leave. However, I asked Derek what the neighborhood was like, he said three blocks from Skid Row in LA. We proceeded to the room which reminded me of a youth urban upscale hostile room. It was clean and cute and TINY. Not suitable for three nights not even one. There was a Pokémon style stuffed animal on the table. I said no way since we could never leave and come back as the area was unsafe. We told Derek we had to leave and he would note our Expedia file why.

I loved the contemporary design, decor and youthful feel of this hotel. As many have said, the rooms are small, completely adequate for one and perhaps a bit tight for two but such a joyful change from the standard American hotel. My room was very quiet and I got a great night’s sleep. The location is near to the B and D Metro, walkable to the Broad Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art and Walt Disney Hall. The walk to Union Station is longer but reasonable. The immediate area is a little sketchy but you can safely walk around those sleeping on the sidewalk and there is sufficiently foot traffic to keep you company. I would stay here again in a flash.
