It's just an old resort hotel and it's showing it's age. It was clean and comfortable. I stayed a Monday night. Due to the restaurant being closed, it made check in a pain. Also so meant that I had to go out to eat instead of on site. No breakfast, Disappointing.

Room 243 needs a little TLC, door sweep, timer needs to be put on lights at the tennis courts. Driveways need a lot of love, but all in all was a nice trip back to my childhood.

Great surprise - great people - super clean room

We found Lake Tiak when making last minute plans to visit our daughter in Starkville. We chose it because of the great price and a friend said it was nice, clean and safe. We were SO happy we found it. Check-in was so easy, we were early so we stopped and had an amazing burger in their restaurant, AMAZING, a wonderful peach margarita at the bar and had a fun visit with the nice guy tending the bar. The room was convenient and SO clean. Yes, it's definitely like a state park room, but it had all the convenience we needed and a bonus of SUPER comfy mattresses. We loved it! Even though it was a fluke we found it, we'll be back for our next visits. It's such an easy drive to Starkville from Tiak. There are also convenient gas stations and fast food close so we could gas up with no problem. and EVERYONE was SO nice there. We loved it!
