Podere L'istrice - Massa e Cozzile ,Tuscany

“Podere l’istrice” is part of a stone house located on the hills east of Lucca (Val di Nievole).
On the front of the house there is a covered veranda with a big wooden table and chairs for dining al fresco while enjoying the gorgeous views. The house is surrounded by a well cared, completely fenced garden (mesh wire 1,30 m high) with various flowers and herbs. It is equipped with a beautiful swimming pool prefabricated, partly set in earth (3,80 x 7,90 1,20 m deep) with deck-chairs and sun umbrella for sunbathing. There is a barbecue at the guests’ disposal in the garden. Guests may park their car within the property. In order to get to the house you will have to drive for 1,5 km on a not asphalted road into the wood, where you may meet “inhabitants” of the wood. Among these, there is the hedgehog. This is why the owners decided to call the house “Podere l’Istrice”. You will be fascinated both by the house and its striking location (extremely low sports cars are not recommended). The house is attached on one side to another house; indipendent entrance, garden and swimming pool are for guests use only.
The house lies in a sunny position with beautiful surroundings and has striking views onto the tiny old village of Massa e Cozzile.
Val di Nievole is a magnificent area located halfway between Lucca and Pistoia and offers lots of day trip possibilities for touring Tuscany. Its location is a good starting point for visiting Firenze, Pisa and Lucca or also for discovering minor centres, among these: Montecatini Terme which is very popular for its healing waters and health spa. Visitors will also find in Montecatini elegant boutiques, a horse race track and a golf court. Nearby there are also charming little hamlets such as Buggiano Castello, Uzzano and Massa e Cozzile: have nice walks and discover delicious restaurants where you can taste local products.
Entrance on the ground floor: traditional country-kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, stove , small electrical oven, fridge with freezer compartment, fireplace, wood burning stove and small wooden table. 1 spacious dining/living room with a big wooden table, SAT TV, leather sofa and arm chairs, a beautiful old style heater and a door to access the garden. In this room some of the walls have visible stones and the ceilings have wooden beams. Access to the 1st floor within stone stairs: 1 bathroom with shower, wc/bidet. 1 double bedroom with private bathroom (shower, wc/bidet) and wonderful views. 1 bedroom with 1 bunk bed (on request 1 additional bed is possible). A walk-through room with 1 single bed-settee. On the 1st floor all rooms have terracotta tiled floors and beamed ceilings. The house is bright and very well kept. The furnishings have been chosen with great care by the owners and the walls have nice light colours.

The quantifiable additional costs must be paid together with the security deposit, IN CASH, at CHECK-IN.
The extra charges, which are calculated according to consumption, are to be paid at the end of the stay.
