Charming city

Very nice hotel with welcoming touch. Service at the desk was really nice, we enjoyed the complimentary drink. Huge breakfast selection. Well situated to walk around the city. Matsumoto is a charming city with great vibe. Should have stayed one more day.

Comfortable hotel, very good breakfast, by station

We had perhaps the smallest room size and found that perfectly adequate, comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast offered the widest range of Japanese dishes of any hotel we stayed at (all good quality and some dishes different each day) with local specialities like soba, a selection of fresh tempura including shrimp and asparagus and much more. There is a welcome drink (beer, whisky, soft drinks - one free each day - and free late night soup too. A nice onsen bath too.

Location, services and room were great. Lots of food selections at breakfast. I chose a room with washing machine but later realised that there’s no dryer in the room. They compensated that by providing lots of hanging facilities in the room and so it’s all ok.

Lovely hotel with great staff and very comfortable rooms. Really close to walk to the shopping street and castle. Coffee available in the lobby. We found Parking building easily available nearby, cost only 1200 yen for 24 hours.

This hotel is close to the train station, about a 5-10 minute walk. Check in was easy. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. It was about a 10 minute walk north from the hotel to get to an area with interesting restaurants and shops. I also like that you can book a room with a washing machine, although I didn't not do so myself. If I visit Matsumoto again, I would definitely look to stay here.

Very accessible from Matsumoto Station. The hotel was very clean. I especially appreciated the cleaning after 3 nights of stay to be sustainable. The towel bags was a nice feature so we were able to carry the towels to the bath. Breakfast was delicious. There were so many options ranging from Japanese to western. There was something for everyone to eat. The hotel had nice little perks. When we stayed, there was happy hour (free alcoholic or non-alcoholic) and evening snack in the dining hall.

Great location for exploring Matsumoto. About 15 minute walk to castle. Small room, but big bed, very clean. Good bathroom with a great shower and lots of hot water. Very clean. Very good value for money, just 7 minutes walk from train station and 3 minutes from the bus station- perfect! Would definitely recommend.

Great spot to explore the city

Great place to stay when visiting Matsumoto. It’s very close to the train and bus stations - making it ideal to arrive leave the bags and explore. The castle was just 10 minutes walk. The room was huge and the hotel has a little hot bath facility. Breakfast was included, which was a lovely Japanese style buffet. The hotel also offered a welcome drink and after dinner snack, which are lovely things to offer guests. I highly recommend this place

Well located and we had everything we needed to explore for a short stay. Stayed as a family for a couple of nights. Great location for dining and explore Matsumoto. Close to the train station for a day trip to Kamikochi.
