Rooms at the Boulan are nicer than the sister building South Beach however, many things were broken in the room + you can tell it has not been refreshed in a while. The sofa was sot stained I would not even want to sit on it

The room was fine. It was large and clean. The hotel in general was underwhelming. It was mostly little things like the lamps behind the front desk were not turned on, and the shades were crooked. Nail holes from previous wall art remained in the walls. Furniture was worn. The female front desk staff was mostly unfriendly, not even looking up to smile or greet us when we walked by. Like I said...it was OK. Not impressive.

No beach view. the place is definitely in need of TLC. I used 3 toilets and all had broken toilet seats or no seat. Everyday lots of people were waiting in the lobby to get into their rooms or had to check out and waiting for flights. They should make their lobby area more user friendly for folks waiting around - tables to work, etc. The speaker on the pool area was buzzing in and out - super obnoxious. Everywhere there is evidence of poor upkeep and cleanliness.
