We had a very unpleasant stay due to a strong moldy smell throughout the apartment. From the first night, the odor was overwhelming and made it difficult to sleep. We immediately notified management and were told that a machine would be brought the next day to address the issue. No one showed up.
After following up multiple times, we were repeatedly told to wait or that staff were “busy.” Meanwhile, the smell persisted despite keeping the windows open all day, and we began feeling physically unwell staying in the apartment. The issue was not resolved in a timely manner, and communication felt dismissive rather than proactive.
Eventually, they offered a late checkout as compensation, which was not helpful since the apartment itself was uninhabitable due to the moldy smell. A late checkout does not fix a health-related issue.
This situation should have been handled urgently and professionally, especially given the potential health concerns associated with mold. Unfortunately, it caused significant stress and discomfort during our stay. I would not recommend this property unless management improves responsiveness and ensures basic cleanliness and air quality before guests arrive.
