We booked this hotel in good faith, expecting to be secure and safe during Hurricane Melissa. Instead, the property was in deplorable condition and clearly unfit to withstand the storm. We were forced to leave due to unsafe conditions, including visible structural issues and lack of running water. The property was poorly constructed and misrepresented online by Expedia!

The resort was doable, however they have too many CATS walking around. The need to keep the STRAY CATS out as people have severe allergy to CATS. They were everywhere and people walking around like they don't see this. This can be life threatening to people who are ALLERGIC TO CATS.

They should not have advertised all the amenities that were not available due to the reconstruction in some parts of the resort. The swim up bar, adult pool, and jerk hut were not available due to the reconstruction and that was one of the main amenities that we were looking for when comparing resorts. I only experienced one of the restaurants, which had really good oxtail, but the atmosphere wasn’t semi formal. My room was great but outdated. The staff was excellent and the gift shop was fantastic. You should really advertise to your visitors that the gift shop was actually less expensive than the gift shops offsite. Unfortunately, there was also hurricane coming, so we couldn’t enjoy the water sports but that’s not the resort’s fault at all. I appreciate the fact that they made sure everyone was safe. My experience wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. Once the resort completes the renovations maybe I can come back and experience it 100%.

The Jamaican and Japanese restaurants were amazing . Yanique from the Japanese rest. Was a great cook/host! The food in the buffet was amazing as well . The beach was clean, the water was clear and the private island was so nice. The water in the rooms took a few minutes to heat up but that wasn’t a problem for me. The ac worked and had the room very nice and cool. The beds were comfy. The shops have a lot of nice things on grounds. Karaoke was fun ! And water aerobics was fun at the pool. The drinks were flowing and the food was amazing. We had to leaver early due to hurricane Melissa but we will be back. May all the staff and ninps be safe through the storm. Thank you.

Frustrated that we received no Welcome Gift although Expedia asked how we enjoyed it, and frustrated that other guests got a personal staff greeting and tour upon arrival while we got no such thing. Only discovered this day before we were leaving so couldn’t remedy this. Room was clean, staff quickly remedied non-working AC concern. Loved sitting on the beach watching the waves. Many of the breakfast & dinner staff were so wonderful making sure we got service if we needed it, places to sit, coffee, etc. We were definitely taken care of. Will love to return if possible.

The check-in process was long, but when the agent came up to check us in she was very pleasant with a welcoming smile. All the restaurants wss very nice including the spa experience for my birthday. I will be back next year for sure because we had a blast.
