Our Possum Valley Hideaway offers you and your family a secluded, yet modern dwelling. Located on in4 secluded acres, up a long, winding, paved and gravel road , through the heart of the Appalachian Mountains lies your own 'Little Dash of Heaven'

We have 2 bedrooms, ** AND A NEWLY ADDED LOFT!!!!**1 bathroom with newly installed bath tub, and an open living room with kitchen. Kitchen includes utensils, dishes and cookware. Come relax on our wrap around porch while swinging in our 2 porch swings. Enjoy the wildlife such as many birds, whitetail deer, wild turkey, squirrels and rabbits, which may be seen at any time.

During your stay you can enjoy hiking, fishing, hunting, skiing, lakes, bike riding on the Creeper Trail, mountain scenery, and NASCAR Racing at the Bristol Raceway.

We had a great time at the cabin with our two boys. Family of four. We stayed four nights total and definitely had a hard time leaving this place. Beds were really comfortable, kitchen had everything you needed to cook, and the cabin was clean and cozy. We made a lot of meals on the grill and loved the campfire for smores. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the beautiful mountain scenery. The hot tub was a plus as well. We didnt have any problems finding the place, as our GPS took us right to it. Great price and value. We look forward to booking another stay in the future.

Very clean and well stocked for the price point. Host was available but left us to do our own thing and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. Some minor things could use updating but then again for the price point no big deal!!! We would definitely stay again. Very quiet away from any hustle and bustle but perfect for outdoor activities/ hiking / ATV riding. . If you want great coffee and/or lattes head over to Know Better coffee in Mountain City. Great coffee and bagels perfect pre or post hike. So glad we found Know Better and this cabin.

We were excited about this cabin because it checked all of our boxes — reasonable price, pet-friendly, hot tub, and fireplace — and it had many positive reviews. Unfortunately, our stay ended up being a bit of a mixed experience.The owners have clearly put effort into making the cabin feel cute and homey, but there are so many decorative items and personal touches throughout the space that there is very little room for renters’ belongings. In particular, the kitchen has almost no usable counter space for food prep, so we found ourselves using the dining table instead.The hot tub was hot, but the water was not very clean, and there appeared to be a missing component that caused water to overflow onto the deck, creating a column of frozen water beneath it. The jets were also operating at what felt like a fraction of their normal strength. This was disappointing, as the hot tub was one of the main reasons we booked the property.The fireplace functioned well, but even on its lowest setting it overheated the living area quickly, making it difficult to regulate the temperature comfortably.On the positive side, the master bedroom bed was very comfortable, and the couch and chair were also great for relaxing. The internet was excellent, and the three televisions were exceptional. The price was very reasonable, which helps offset some of the shortcomings.With a bit of decluttering, improved hot tub maintenance, and some minor changes, this could be a very comfortable rental

We loved the cabin. The location was beautiful and the cabin was clean. It was a cold time of year, but there were plenty of space heaters to warm up the rooms. The kitchen had everything we needed to make simple meals. We especially enjoyed the hot tub.One small complaint was the number of scent deodorizers placed through out the cabin. I had an asthma reaction to the multiple deodorizers placed in every room and had to use my inhaler that first night. I put them all in a bathroom cabinet and was fine the rest of our stay.

Wonderful stay! Everything was clean and in order. This is such a peaceful and quiet place to relax and restore yourself. Bed was comfortable, couch was cozy, fireplace was great to have, hot tub was amazing. We enjoyed some hot meals cooked with the stove and the oven, some coffee from the coffee maker, and enjoyed a movie on the fantastic living room TV (updated from the pictures)! Most of all enjoyed the peace and quiet of this cozy cabin. The hosts were super kind and helpful. We will definitely have to return in the summer to take advantage of the grill, the fire pit, and all the outdoor adventures in the area. Bottom line: great getaway!!!

This cabin exceeded our expectations. The kids toys, hot tub, peace & quiet, comfortable beds & kitchen/living space were huge hits. We made s'mores at night and listened to the turkeys in the morning. We celebrated my daughter's first birthday & our second wedding anniversary in this home & would do it again every year! Definitely recommend arriving in the daylight but we still found it! Thank you for sharing this piece of paradise with us.

A very nice cabin that is private and secluded. Check in process was easy and the directions were very detailed and easy to find the cabin. Great communication with the owners. We loved sitting on the porch which had plenty of seating options. The hot tub was very nice and relaxing especially after riding the creeper trail. You will not be disappointed staying here.

There's just nothing quite like enjoying your morning coffee from the porch swing while watching nature wake up with you.
