Unfortunately, our stay was extremely disappointing. When we arrived, the bathroom still had used towels left behind from previous guests, which was very upsetting and unhygienic. On top of that, we found several cockroaches in the room. The bed sheets had visible stains, and the couch and other furniture were clearly dirty, as if the room had not been properly cleaned at all.

Room was simple but clean, staff were very attentive, location is nice and central. Quiet area - even when we stayed over New Year's Eve. Pool isn't huge, but was still a hit with the kids.

Nice place with an outdoor pool. Supermarkets and downtown area are 10-15 min walking distance. Intercity bus stop is a bit far to walk, but there’s a good sized lot to park a car if you have one.

The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Beds were very comfy, and plenty of parking. I wouldn’t call the pool heated but it was nice to relax in after a hot day out. Set up is a little odd where you have to enter the building to unlock the doors before being able to open the ranch slider, that opens up out to the car park. Reception was very accommodating by giving us a ground floor room as I had hurt my leg just before our holiday.

We didn’t have the breakfast as we walked into town instead for that (Wata cafe is excellent btw!), but the unit we stayed in was everything we wanted and needed for our stay. Great shower, and the pool was lovely as well. Great laundry facilities, and as previously mentioned was only a 15min walk to town. 10/10 would stay here again!

I booked this accommodation as The Hotel Nelson, but it is a motel. I was given a disability room so it was spacious with disability devices. I may possibly looked disabled however I do not have disability I am aware of. I had to ask for room service, supplies of fresh towels, rubbish bin liner. When I called reception for room service the female staff sounded unhappy and told me that they are busy. We were allocated to very wobbly table at the restaurant and I was asked to put some napkin under one of table legs to stabilize it by myself. I was surprised by this experience.

The little kitchen area was nice. We ate dinner at the restaurant on site and it was very good. The little pizza place a block or so away was fantastic. The laundry room was perfect and soap was included. The beds were comfortable and even with open windows it was quiet. The early morning birdsong was lovely. This hotel is nicer than the pictures and description!
