This apartment is well-situated in Chinatown. The building itself is kind of dingy, but the apartment itself is clean and decently stocked. The beds were comfortable and the living space was just right for our group of 3 (2 adults and 1 10-year old). The host was responsive when we needed a few additional supplies. The street has many restaurants, shops and souvenir shops. It's about an 8 minute walk to the subway, which we used a lot. The street had city noise at night (garbage trucks, sirens, etc.) which we got used to fairly quickly. We felt that this apartment enhanced our visit to New York City because it was so authentic.

Great affordable option for a fun stay in NYC. Had everything we needed and the check-in and check-out process was very easy. Host was very responsive and communicated well. Nice view of the Chrysler Building and the shower water pressure was great.

The host was very informative in addition to simple instructions on how to gain access to entry. The residential stay was very clean and neat. Neighbors are quiet during the day and night if you enjoy a peace of mind. The area is perfect to find meals and things to do and just a 10 minute walk to Starbucks and the subway train station.

Communication ahead of trip was good. Manhattan location good - easy access to central Chinatown, Little Italy and Manhattan Bridge. Apartment pleasant with interesting neighbourhood outlook. Good having extra bedroom. Some things to be aware of: main bed very soft and bedding not cotton; neighbourhood and building noisy - conversations through the wall went late - almost all night one night; access up two difficult flights of stairs.

The apartment was uninhabitable during our stay. Indoor temperatures remained in the low 60s while outside temperatures were in the 20s. We repeatedly had to request that the building heat be turned on and were left waiting in a cold apartment while it slowly warmed. The windows were poorly insulated, allowing significant cold drafts throughout the unit. Only one small electric heater was provided for two bedrooms, and it was insufficient to adequately warm even a single room. We requested an additional heater multiple times and received no response. Days later, management said they could come to the apartment to “fix” the issue, but there was nothing to fix. The solution was simply to keep the heat on consistently or provide another heater. Neither was done, and I became ill due to repeated cold nights. Maintaining a safe indoor temperature is a basic responsibility of property ownership. This accommodation did not meet reasonable expectations for comfort or Expedia/VRBO standards for a habitable listing given the winter weather. No remedy was offered, and management dismissed the issue by saying no one else had complained. I strongly recommend reconsidering booking this property.

Chinatown

The apartment was as described, a couple of steep stairways to get to it but it was clean, cozy, everything we needed during our visit! Communication was great, did not have to wonder or question the process. WiFi and appliances worked well including window ACs. As it’s in the heart of busy and bustling Chinatown it has potential to be noisy for sleeping but the AC worked perfectly as white noise. Definitely recommend!

wonderful place in a beautiful part of town

the check in process was sent to us by the manager, who very accurately described how to enter the property. it was effortless with the instructions that he sent us. the place, itself, was clean and pretty and there's a great view from the front bedroom. the entire stay was exceptionally charming. chinatown is so interesting and fun, it's busy and exciting in the morning, and quiet and peaceful at night. there are subways close by, and the location is very convenient. wifi was easy to connect. i met the property manager and he was very kind and helpful. i would absolutely stay here again.

Shower curtain has a load of mold Toilet seat I cleaned myself but made me so uncomfortable to use The beds, OMG, bed bug on one, hair on both, dirty! Blood stain, disgusting!! I itched all night, and I complained only for the host to make a deal that if I’ll leave immediately he will fully refund, I’ll attach the conversation,Did not refund me, managent of vrbo, did nothing, I will never book through them, you shouldn’t either He kept repeating that his posting does not come with high hotel standards, well it’s as expensive and in my case when I booked it was more expensive but I still took it due to the good reviews!!!

Chinatown Stay in Manhattan

The flat itself was decent with two bedrooms. The bathroom was very small. The kitchen was nice but I would not cook or eat there because I saw three roaches during my stay. To access the unit, you need to walk up two flights of stairs with your suitcases. There was garbage in the hallway so it smelled for the first two days. The hallway was very dirty and so was the stairway. I couldn’t get the heat to work during my stay using the window air conditioners. I would not stay here again.
