The room was simple, functional, clean upon arrival. One day the cigarette smoke coming through vents was powerful. We asked twice for fresh towels and for cleaning and it was never done. The stairwell and utility room with ice and vending machines were very grungy, dirty, with junk laying around.

We were given the wrong room upon check-in, and the room itself smelled strongly of smoke despite being advertised as a smoke-free accommodation. In addition, the room was located directly next to the subway, resulting in constant noise throughout the night. We barely slept and the overall stay was extremely uncomfortable. This was, by far, one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in a long time. I am extremely disappointed.

Room was clean, lady in reception who seemed to be there 24 hrs a day, was friendly, polite, helpful. Only downfall was noise from outside, train, busy road, and inside, every time the lift opened or someone opened a door it sounded like it was right outside your room. If you could soundproof doors and windows the hotel would be ideal

The staff were very attentive to our needs. Other guest had a tendency to smoke in their rooms and it would wake us up in the middle of the night. The staff did what they could to refresh the areas. In terms of the amenities, the room had a fridge and the microwave was in the common areas along with the coffee maker. The bathrooms need more cleaning and found dirt behind the bed near the wall.

Place is a dump, hotels.com should be ashamed to have this property listed on their site. Literally 2 bath towels? No hand towels or hand soap. Hair in the shower and wash basin. Bed was horribly hard and the train was right outside the room and kept us awake most of the night and started back up at 5AM. Probably won’t use hotels.com again.

I really liked the Hotel MIrage. It was very clean and has very friendly staff. While it is not in the heart of Brooklyn activities, I had a car with me that the staff kindly allowed me to marking in the small parking area right behind the hotel.

The room itself was okay. The location is problematic, however. I am a Brooklyn native and used to live nearby. This area is a bit rough but I had no negative encounters. Right next to elevated LIRR tracks and noisy, though. Housekeeping is minimal to nonexistent. Hallways are unclean and smell of marijuana. Staff is minimal and unhelpful.
