You get what you pay for

The room wreaked of air freshener to mask the smell of mildew and weed. Air filter for AC was dirty. The staff was friendly enough. The bed was clean. This was a last minute booking, so expectations weren't high. It sufficed for one night, but I do NOT plan on returning.

Sleep in the street before ever thinking of booking this horrid place. The staff is dirty, the floors are dirty, the sheets are dirty, the showers are dirty, the mattresses are dirty. Please avoid this place at all cost. It is the most disgusting hotel in NYC. It needs to be condemned and demolished. There is no saving this place unless it’s burned to the ground

Upon arriving at the room (702), the surprised-looking cleaner was finishing up, and left the room promptly, after spraying a few squirts of some cleaning chemical into the air. A long list of problems ensued: Wifi not working Disgustingly dirty room Cold shower Noise Problem 1 - the neighbouring guests entering or leaving the room close to my room. Noise Problem 2 - the Ice machine within 8 feet of my door sounded like an industrial drill upon use. Noise Problem 3 - the room that I was allocated, had windows facing on to the outside pavement. On the pavement were the hotel waste bins, about 5 of them, including empty bottles. These bins were emptied at 2.54am. Noise Problem 4 - the noise of the traffic. I could hear every truck passing. Noise Problem 5 - the people, especially the woman, in the adjacent to mine, were having sex very loudly. Air Conditioning not working properly Room Aesthetics - loose cables, poorly fitted blinds. The Smell - in the room and throughout the whole hotel there was a pungent chemical smell, not at all nice, in fact quite putrid. Basement Area - cleaning trollies in foyer Customer Service non-existent I have taken videos and photos of the above items. I will be sharing the above list of issues and images with Hotels.com as a review and as a formal complaint. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels for business and personal purposes and have never faced such disgusting conditions.

Where to start. There was an open box of condoms on the table, no remote for the tv, exposed coaxial cable hanging out of the wall, no wash cloths, tiny bed that was too small for the bedframe, dirty drawers, sticky/oily surfaces (dresser/tables), and just generally beat up. Overall pretty poor and in the top 2 worst rooms I’ve stayed in. I know it was a cheaper room but I’d expect a bit more for $280 a night.

Acceptable for a short stay due to cancelled flight but wouldn’t stay here more than one night. Noisy hotel with doors slamming throughout the night and close to airport. But did a job for the cancelled flight situation.
