Dirty and smelly apartment.
This apartment lets down VRBO!! It was not what we expected from the photographs.
The toilet bowl was badly stained and under the rim was disgusting and black!! It was like the toilet was not been cleaned. The toilet seat was broken and this was reported to our contact.
The rest of the apartment felt in need of a good proper clean too. The shower had mould.
The apartment generally did not smell very nice. It was worse in the shower room and we were told it was not an apartment fault but a building fault. We have never experienced this previously in apartment stays in Nice over the last 18 years that we have been going. The smell made us feel sick.
There were problems with the electrics. A technician came and said the "cumulus" was broken and as a temporary fix would turn the hot water down to half the temperature. Thereafter we only had barely warm water for showering facilities or dish washing for our whole stay. This is not acceptable.
We enjoyed our stay in Nice but did not like staying in this apartment and we would not recommend it and shall never go there again.
It has left us feeling that hotel stays are best in the future.
We would request compensation/refund as it was very costly to stay in this apartment and we do not feel it gave value for our money at all.
In this day and age cleanliness is paramount. It really felt like a health hazard staying here.
