The room was in good condition although it heavily smelled like mold. TV was outdated and small. Worst part was the pool (and hot tub) being down. The door kept jamming and wouldn't let me in after keying in. The staff was friendly and made the stay to be honest.

The front desk staff were semi-friendly, but often weren’t at the desk. That wouldn’t have been as much of a problem if I didn’t need their assistance to get ice since none of the ice machines worked on the floors. Also, I wasn’t able to take a shower during my stay because the room we received was handicapped (meaning there was no tub), which isn’t an issue, except that the drain was clogged and within moments of turning on the shower to warm the water the bathroom was going to be flooded.

For this to be a Marriot hotel, it sucked. The rooms are dark even with the lights on. The building and rooms are in need of a major renovation. The room smelled old and damp. I’ve stayed at plenty of Marriot Hotels in different cities and this location was by far the worst. The price of the room was outlandish considering the conditions of the establishment. Never again. It’s giving Motel 8 vibes.

Staff stood out. Maria at check in. I think that’s her name. She was at the first podium by the valet door during the bomb cyclone. She went herself to find me a pillow and trash bags to wrap my feet for the snow before our cruise. Also Jermaine the valet kept me company while I smoked when he wasn’t busy. I had anxiety sitting by myself and he understood. The buffet hostess was quick and since I walk with a cane, she came to my table to check on me.
