Stay away from this place

Terrible. Loud neighbors. Services were nonexistent and rude. We were going to be charged $25 extra dollar for showing up 5 minutes early. Uncleaned rooms and hallways meant like poop and smoke.

The property is old, no mistaking, but what makes it work is the staff. They can't fix everything, but they will try to fix what you need. Truly a great bunch of people; desk, security, maintenance and housekeeping were all incredibly kind and supportive, as my Mom was passing. The staff is wonderful

The property is close to all transportation, freeway, buses, BART, ferry, Amtrak, so i didn't need a rental car. There are lots of good restaurants within walking distance and entertainment.

It was better than expected. The room were large, the staff friendly. The area is depressed but walkable to Yoshi jazz or the cinema. Trains run outside but you get used to them.

The walls & windows let through a lot of noise. It was impossible to sleep without earplugs and even then I got woken up by the really loud train outside (a loud bell and continuous train honking goes off whenever it comes and it continues through the night) and the neighbours TV. Bathroom is pretty run down but was clean.

Hotel is in bad shape but the rooms are clean and comfortable but the hotel is not in great shape. The price can allow you to overlook many of the conditions including the so called free breakfast

The room was affordable, cozy and while not perfect the king size bed was clean, comfortable and with decent bedding. The mini fridge kept our beverages cool and the wall heater made our stay toasty. Jack London Square can be both touristy and affected by urban issues such as sex workers in the hotel lobby but I would absolutely stay here again.

Screaming lady in Hall across from my room had two episodes after 9:30. No way to reach front desk for security (if any available?). Still pounding after an hour. No gunshots yet.

Looks can be deceiving

My room does not look like the picture advertised. Some parts were updated like the breakfast area. My room curtains were old and filthy. It smelled like some from 70"s. Dark hallways. Very dated. The bed was comfy and the room was clean to the best of my ability. It worked for my short business weekend.

I would not recommend this property. The room smelled of smoke. It was clear that (despite made beds) the floor had not been vacuumed and surfaces had not been wiped down. The bathroom counter was awful and had what I assume was drug residue by the burn marks and lines on the paint. The sink had been poorly reglazed and still had toothpaste/spit from the last guest in it. The shower was moldy and there was mold in the room along the ceiling. Also, it was super noisy. I could hear music from other rooms all night and got woken up by what sounded like domestic violence twice. I would have called the front desk, but the phone didn’t work… in fact most of the outlets in the room didn’t work. Unless it’s a last resort, do not stay here.
