It was a great stay for our first experience in Iceland! Excellent restaurant on site and delicious bakery with breakfast an available. Would definitely return to this hotel especially because the accommodate children.

Their staff helped us when we were stranded by Air Canada strikes and our flights were cancelled by putting us on standby for open rooms at a fair rate. They saved us and their service and empathy are so appreciated! The food in the restaurant below is great and feels fancy, and there are tons of amenities and things to do in a walkable distance. The breakfast included saved us time and money. Clean and cozy!

I really wanted to give this five stars because the service was excellent, the included breakfast was wonderful, and the location was good. However, the lack of privacy in the bathroom (just a frosted glass door that has a large gap around it and does not fully close) made sharing a room even with a spouse awkward. The window opens less than inch, so it gets very hot and stuffy in the room, even though the temperature was only 52-56 F. The bed was a little uncomfortable and was two twins pushed together with nothing to close the gap. Also awkward for sharing a bed with a spouse. EVERYTHING else was wonderful though!

A very good hotel w/small tweaks would be divine!

The staff were exceptionally nice and helpful across the board, at reception, restaurant and cleaning staff. Our room was spacious, bed comfortable and clean On the negative, room was way too warm, we slept with the window open but then you have noise, we slept poorly. Also not enough storage for our things. Not enough hooks in the bathroom or even shelves for toiletries.
