I really wanted to give this five stars because the service was excellent, the included breakfast was wonderful, and the location was good. However, the lack of privacy in the bathroom (just a frosted glass door that has a large gap around it and does not fully close) made sharing a room even with a spouse awkward. The window opens less than inch, so it gets very hot and stuffy in the room, even though the temperature was only 52-56 F. The bed was a little uncomfortable and was two twins pushed together with nothing to close the gap. Also awkward for sharing a bed with a spouse. EVERYTHING else was wonderful though!

A very good hotel w/small tweaks would be divine!

The staff were exceptionally nice and helpful across the board, at reception, restaurant and cleaning staff. Our room was spacious, bed comfortable and clean On the negative, room was way too warm, we slept with the window open but then you have noise, we slept poorly. Also not enough storage for our things. Not enough hooks in the bathroom or even shelves for toiletries.

The staff were so friendly and helpful! The rooms we had were nice, clean and we enjoyed the spa which was also very clean. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was great food. Hotwl was walkable to many places including city center. Would/will stay here again!

Hotel is clean and modern. We only spend one night before our flight. Small spa available, nice and clean but nothing exciting. Room was comfortable but hot and had a view on a garbage dumpster, will attach picture. Was ok for one night.

Not what I expected

The hotel has a modern vibe. The rooms are minimalistic, but serviceable. We did not use the spa but it looked nice. Issues we had. Beds were uncomfortable and sheets were rough. The breakfast, which costs extra, was below average; the coffee was blah and food options were less than stellar. If going to the restaurant for dinner, expect to pay exorbatant amounts, even by Iceland standards. Overall, for what was advertised as a high end hotel, the Grandi was disappointing. If visiting Keyfljavik again, i would choose a hotel closer to town center. I will say, the desk staff was friendly and atrentive.
