FOR RENT in Rio Marina in the pedestrian area of the characteristic historic center just 100 meters from the waterfront and close to services, nice two-room apartment on 2 levels suitable to accommodate up to 4 people. The apartment has separate entrance, large living area with French sofa bed (140x190), kitchen, bathroom with shower, on the second floor via wooden staircase double bedroom + 3.bed with windows on panoramic view. Air conditioning and washing machine.
Rio Marina is a pretty village with a history linked to mineral extraction and fishing and tourism activities, where you can still breathe the typical atmosphere of the villages inhabited by the "people of the sea," with the small stores, sweets and typical dishes, restaurants where you can taste the catch of the day cooked with extreme care and with recipes sometimes very old. Possibility of water activities such as boat rental, diving center with PADI patent issue and sailing school.
The small beach of La Torre is gravel and is located in the center of the village, while nearby there is the beautiful bay of Ortano, the beach of Le Fornacelle, i Topinetti, Cala Seregola, the Calette de il Portocciolo, Gennaro, Luisi d'Angelo to end with Cavo to Porto Azzurro and Capoliveri. The town is also home to numerous cultural and sporting events throughout the year, including festivals and fairs. Local dishes include baccala cooked with the typical "Stoccafisso" recipe in addition to "Sbrurrita," "Schiaccia Briaca," and the traditional "Sportella di Pasqua." Rio Marina is also an ideal base for exploring the island of Elba, as it offers a strategic location almost in the center of the island in addition to the convenience of being able to disembark directly with the Toremar ferry
