Be warned before booking that this hotel doesn’t have an elevator. I didn’t notice that detail while booking which was my mistake but good for others to know before showing up with young children and four suitcases to lug up two flights of stairs.
The parking situation was less than stellar. Only a few spots available on a first come, first served basis. The two bay doors were open all night even though there were signs posted throughout the garage notifying guests of the high crime rate in the area.
The room was clean but had a strong dank, musty smell that got worse when the air conditioner would kick in. The bathroom tub was dated and stained and the pillowcases were either stained or had not been cleaned after the previous guest.
In between the two double beds was a nightstand with a lamp and two electrical outlets. I use a CPAP machine to sleep and it wouldn’t work on either outlet. I called the front desk to inquire and he said that if the lamp worked then the outlets should be working. My husband pulled the panel out to check the wiring and it was a rat’s nest of wires. Wall mount face plate appears to be just a power bar screwed into the wall plugged into another power bar which is plugged into another hidden outlet. He wiggled the wires until the power bar worked but then I was worried all night about an electrical short.
Walls were paper thin. You could hear everything.
This hotel might be okay in a pinch but definitely not worth $100+ for a night.
