A fantastic hotel very close to Sapporo station and multiple convenience stores for your needs. Very clean, modern, polite and friendly staff that make your stay nice and comfortable. The bath areas are a nice touch, hopefully in future the tattoo policy in bathing area is revised, its 2025 and lots of tourists have tattoos. Helpful having a washer/drier, but it would be really great if they could get a few more machines as there is only one in the mens and one in the womens, at times there was a queue of 3 people wanting to use the machine and a wash/dry cycle takes 2 hours (also leaves the clothes damp so be prepared to hang them after in your room) Rooms are fairly compact as usual in japanese hotels. I wasnt able to figure out a way to stream to the tv in the room or use netflix, but not a big problem.

Great location close to Sapporo train station & subway stations. Roomy comfortable rooms. Only complaint is the property only has one washer/dryer in each of the men’s/women’s bathing areas for the entire hotel. If washer/dryer isn’t a high priority for you then this hotel will be great. Also close to the pick up areas for the buses going to the different ski resorts.

The hotel pays attention to detail. Before arriving, I asked if they had ironing board and iron and was informed that they’re available at a certain level. Upon check in, to my surprise, the reception had the appliance ready for me in the room! 😍

Have been making bookings with Expedia with my preferred first and last name. when checked in at Mitsui Garden West Hotel Sapporo, my booking was rejected as the reception insist of having my full name as in my passport. Tried to explain that I have been booking hotels for years with my Expedia registered name. she refused to accept and insisted I call Expedia to amend my booking to the full passport name. I had to make an overseas call back to the Expedia Office in Singapore and go through the entire process of explaining and waiting amendment to complete. While the hotel staff played a part in this negative encounter, why did Expedia not forewarn customers that there is such a requirement in the country we are booking the hotel, easing the inconveniences as well as the expensive overseas telephone calls. I await response form Expedia on this matter.

Cosy hotel with great convenience

Our room with queen size bed was a little small and window faced inside with no view. My children's room with twin beds are a lot better, bigger and have a view of the city. Hotel is a short stroll from Sapporo station where you can find variety of reasonable restaurants and Daimaru, where you can get excellent fruits.

Great overall, but the amenities could be better.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out. It’s location was perfect, making it easy to get around. The room was clean and comfortable, and I especially enjoyed the onsen and lounge facilities, which were well-maintained. However, the quality of the amenities provided in the lobby could be improved.
