The Golden Host Inn is great place to stay. It is cute and nostalgic. It is an older property that has been refurbished. The pool is really pretty. The tiki bar has a lot of character. All the linens are clean and fresh. The price was very reasonable and my husband and I had fun.

Really nice hotel for the money. Very clean and the staff is great! Stayed 3 more nights not booked thru expedia. Beatriz and Cat at the front desk were wonderful as well as the housekeeping staff. Paul who bartends at the Tiki bar and does maint. was very nice also. This will be my go to hotel when in Sarasota! Very easy/short drive to beaches. Love the big TV in room too! Was really impressed with the amount of staff and their effort to keep it clean and nice! A big thank you to all the great staff there!

The bed was very comfortable, the staff was great, and the bar was very fun with great original drinks. The room itself has very cute retro style decoration that definitely stands out. The shower curtain unfortunately, was a little bit on the short side so the water was not completely contained when in use. And lastly the faucet for the hand sink felt very loose. That being said, it was a great stay and will like to return.
