The Carriage House is right in the heart of everything. Very safe and easy walk to literally dozens of casual restaurants, cool bars and interesting shops. 5 minute walk to Selby Gardens. 10 minute walk and you are at the Sarasota Bayfront. That's a great place to enjoy the sunset. The hustle and bustle of main street is just half a mile away. They have an awesome farmer's market every Saturday morning year round. If you prefer the beach, drive 10 minutes South to Siesta Key, home of #1 beach in the USA. You are less than 4 miles from St. Armands Circle and Lido Key. It's always sunny in Sarasota and you will never run out of things to do. We provide tons of amenities including bikes, kayaks, beach chairs and a beach umbrella.

This place is so much better than a hotel room. You will have your own private guest house with nobody above or below. Main bed is a King sized luxury memory foam mattress from Tuft and Needle. Sofa pulls out to a surprisingly comfortable twin size memory foam bed. We are neat freaks. The Carriage House will be immaculately clean. Free clothes washer and dryer. Tons of amenities including; snacks, cold beverages, coffee pods, toiletries and laundry detergent. Lightning fast wifi, bikes, kayaks, beach chairs, umbrella and more available for your use and enjoyment.

Here are my top ten recommendations on things to do:
1. Start your day at Fresh Start Cafe (.2 miles, 4 min walk). The food is outstanding.
2. Walk to Selby Gardens (.4 miles, 8 min walk). World Class botanical gardens.
3. Main Street (.5 miles, 11 min walk) is packed with boutiques and restaurants.
4. Hop an Uber or drive to the Ringling museum (4.6 miles)
5. For amazing seafood, eclectic decor and live entertainment, try Owen's Fish Camp. It is .3 miles away, only a 6 minute walk.
6. Burn's Court Cinema is right next door to Owens. Not your run of the mill cineplex. It is a small theater offering first-run foreign, independent & art films along with beer, wine & popcorn.
7. St. Armand's Circle shopping and entertainment district is 3.4 miles away. Great people watching, coffee shops and boutiques.
8. Want to go to the beach? Lido Beach is consistently rated as one of the best beaches in the US. It is 4.1 miles away, about a 12 minute drive.
9. Want an up close experience with the creatures of the sea? Try Mote Marine Laboratory, it is 4.7 miles from your front door. This aquarium has: Sharks, lionfish, jellyfish, etc. You can pet stingrays, horseshoe crabs, sea cucumbers, starfish, and urchins. There's also a giant squid preserved in a tank.
10. Bayfront Park is .6 miles away, about a 13 minute walk. It has the bay on one side and downtown Sarasota on the other side. Wait for the sunset in the evenings and you will never be bored, because the pelicans entertain you. Good spot to see wild dolphins. Try O'Leary's Tiki Bar and Grill. Sunset ferry available too!
