Scillato is a small gem that rises in the heart of Sicily, on the edges of the Madonie Park, considered a world heritage site. The proximity to a part of the Sicilian Apennines favoured the birth of the village due to the presence of water springs, which is why the territory hosts 14 mills dating back to the nineteenth century, some still functioning. Like the rest of Sicily, Scillato is a place with ancient culinary traditions and rich in typical products, among which olives, apricots and delicious oranges to which a festival is also dedicated. The town is in a strategic position to visit the nearby Cefalù, where some of the most beautiful beaches on the island are found, Polizzi Generosa, with magnificent views of the Madonie, and Palermo with its countless UNESCO world heritage sites.
Guests will be able to reach the accommodation by car from Palermo airport, which is approximately 100 km away, or from Catania airport, 150 km away. Should you reach the island by plane, we suggest hiring a car at the airport. For help and suggestions, please contact us, we will be happy to help.
