The staffs seemed lacking, check in was a long wait,only had 2 staffs available, and there were a big group of people checking in. I guess i was expecting more from a 5star hotel. I also didn't know that i have to pay separate for pool, i thought the packages was for the waterpark, they do offer discount for guests, but i wish this was included. The room we had seemed to need updating, floors were clean but visible scratches etc. Towels and slippers were also a bit on thinner side. I liked that the theme park, restaurants and stores are just there, very convenient.

The room had the basics. The hotel had no amenities that you did not have to pay to use. To go to the pool (family of 4) you had to pay 100,000 won/$85 and it’s only a pool. No slides, no hot tubs, no bar/snacks. The staff is poor at communicating the lack of amenities, as well. We paid $160k won for the water park, but only two slides were open for those bigger than a 4 y/o. You had to pay 10k won/person to use a life jacket to get into the wave pool. You can’t even sit down either…pay to have a seat in a chair!!! The food and beverage places are closed during the week, except one spot with mini cup (1/2 c measuring cup) of bits of fried chicken with 1/2 can side for 8k won..for three of those and a beer they over charged us 50k won and we just paid and left. The ticket to the amusement park with the room only allows three rides/person. Highly recommend you go to Japan, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Guam for better hotels, amenities, food choices, and service for the price.

The property was really nice. I liked that there was a casino and shopping center right at the property. I didn’t like that you had to pay to access the pool and that breakfast wasn’t included.

Overall , it was a pleasant stay. However, at this rate we expected there wills be a bidet within our hotel bathroom and not only in the main lobby toilet

Room is clean and tidy. Foods around the hotel are expensive. There a G25 (minimart) that you can buy not so expensive stuff. There are many interesting places to visit in this area but you need a car to go to this places. And there a place inside Theme Park that you can rent Hanbok and get a 20% discount if you staying in Shinhwa hotel.

The Lobby is stinky with sewage stench. I am a Singaporean but observed and witness the poor service and manner attitute towards Chinese PRC guest. Me as a Singaporean Chinese felt extremely disappointed. Personal experience of intentionally request for my thermal bottle to be top up with hot water , service received was disappointing, from the facial expression and body language of service staff. Luckily there was a male intern staff who treated me with courtesy . In general I had a disappointed & poor experience 👌
