Beautiful surroundings, quaint room at the top of the main house… I was lovely and cozy and safe which is the most important thing as a solo traveller. I’ve stayed many times but first time experiencing the spa and loved it. I would definitely recommend.

Overall it was good. The linen was clean, food was good. Bathroom door wouldn’t close, it wasn’t clear how to contact reception from the room and the tv needed turning on and off at the plug before it would work.

The very least I expect is to be able to have a warm shower, and to be able to flush the toilet. I was unable to easily do either. When reporting this at check out, I was not alone as two people behind me in the queue said they had similar issues

Excellent hotel. Beutiful scenery and great facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful. The bar food is ok and has a limited amount of alcohol free options but otherwise comfortable.

What a GORGEOUS hotel this was! The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The Staff were remarkable! The Room we stayed in was so lovely.

Needs some work

The good things- Friendly staff in reception, the food in restaurant, the gym. BUT we paid for standard room and expected a standard room. The tap was broken in the bathroom, the flooring in bathroom was loose, and uneven and stubbed toes occurred. The shower in the bathroom was mouldy and needed bleaching. There was a bath but was tatty and old. The curtains in bedroom had some dubious brown stains. Waiting 10 minutes in bar for anyone to serve us a drink, no other customers. Food was lovely but whilst having breakfast noticed stains all over the panelling in restaurant. Second visit here but not likely to return.

Hotel decor was ok some doors could do with a repaint . Staff were lovely helpful and polite although they seemed to be very busy probably need a few more people . The bathroom door didn’t shut properly in our room but this was fixed promptly after reporting it to reception . The breakfast selection was very good and the food in the bar was served hot and fresh ( We didn’t try the restaurant . Good gym with plenty of machines . Overall a nice stay for a couple of nights

We had a nice stay. The hotel grounds are lovely. The hotel room was a bit weathered and in need of some TLC, but was big, clean and comfortable. It is good value for the room and use of spa (which is also a bit weathered). Would definitely stay again.

Was put in the school masters accommodation and feel it needs renovating and looks and feels outdated. The shower was constantly going (not just a drip but not full on) so was quite loud. Went to reception and the staff member was great, she moved me straight away to a newer section of the hotel and this was fine. Some areas of the hotel need updating.
