Every time I visit St. Augustine, I've chosen to stay at this hotel because it's clean and close to downtown. But this time, it wasn't a good decision since I was never notified about the damaged pool, and to top it all off, the air conditioning didn't work and the phone charging light was broken. I drove three hours to get to this place with a one-night stay. I was supposed to enjoy the pool for a while, but couldn't. The heat in the room was terrible. Lastly, I was informed that the king-size beds were only available on the second floor, so with back surgery, I had to go up to the second floor, even though I hadn't informed them during my reservation.

Keys wouldnt work, and got locked out of room repeatedly. When traveling and exhausted, the last thing i want is to have issues getting into my room. Front desk person was lazy and rude. Sketchy crowd, guests look like trouble. I was afraid of getting mugged on the property.

Room was good for what it was and the staff at the front desk were very friendly and nice. Pool area was dirty and our room didn’t get cleaned once in the 3 nights we were there. We also saw a cockroache (it’s Florida so not too much of a shock) asked for extra towels the first night and didn’t get them until the next night.
