This is a new hotel so there’s still work to be done. However, the hotel itself is beautiful and the staff was nice. The location was convenient for shopping and food choices. The views around the pier were amazing too. The parking garage was the weirdest thing though

This was my first stay at Galaxy but it won’t be the last. I love the location - a short walk from the pier and lots of great eateries. The staff was friendly, the room was clean & comfortable with all the necessary conveniences - coffee maker, fridge, waterfall shower, and a beautiful view of downtown St. Pete.

For being a new hotel, the rooms were not clean. There was a mysterious white stain on decorative comforter at the foot of the bed. The bed is made with a sheet, and you have a microfiber blanket in the closet. The room smells like mildew; the towels are so thin and not that big, and there wasn’t even a tissue box. The bed being comfy was probably the only nice thing.

What terrible service. This hotel should be renamed the Ghost Hotel. Once they hand you your key they are done. They would not clean the room at all, even though I went to the front desk each morning at 7:30 and requested cleaning. I had to go to the front desk every day to get towels. There was no water left in the room even though we were told at check in the there would be. There was no cups, hand soap, tissues, waste basket in main room. In general, their website description is a lie. Avoid this dump.

Parking was terrible because of the extremely limited space at the hotel itself. I don't feel I should have paid $20 to park. Unfortunately the shower smelled like sulfur. I'm not sure why it smelled that way but I did let them know and they were very receptive to the feedback.

Prime location to St Pete pier and so much more. Everything was in walking distance and easy to get to from Galaxy. Such a safe area and neighborhood as well.

Parking was hard to come by so we had to valet park because free parking was far away from hotel. Bathroom in room had no ventilation and the shower had nowhere to place your soap. We didn't have enough towels for our family so we had to go downstairs to get some. The available ice machine was on the first floor. We were in the 6th floor. On the Hotels.com site it stated that they had cook to order breakfast for $16.99 I believe but all they had was a small coffee shop with a limited hours of operations. There were issues with the elevator where you would press the button the doors would close and the elevator would not move till you pressed the floor button for a second time. If I never stay at the Galaxy Hotel again it would be too soon for me.

Overall, a very nice hotel in a beautiful, walkable area and a quiet & safe experience. However, the carpet in the room was not vacuumed (hair and other debris visible) and we had to request hand soap. The TP was of great quality for a hotel, but they stocked the bathroom with only a small amount. Also, there was a refundable room deposit fee which I don't believe was mentioned at the time of booking with Expedia. The garage parking ($30 valet only available weekends, I think) turned out to be more like $22 a night with a dashboard pass that we obtained from the front desk.

The hotel itself is modern-looking and the decor is great. The area is good for walking around, close to the water, lots of neat shops and cafes. A couple of problems for me: 1) The door to my room got jammed, so I couldn't access it. Daniel solved it quickly and upgraded me to a nicer room. 2) Parking is not convenient at all. You either have to park on the street or pay for parking in a garage that's not directly on the premises.

Great Location

Parked at a nearby parking garage can get expensive per day.Thr hotel was clean, beds were okay pillows were not my thing very hard to sleep on them for me. Quiet and great location to go out east to walk to everything!

Rooms were super clean and staff was great! Did run into a few problems. Whenever we requested extra things the staff assured us we’d get them and they never showed up. This happened multiple times. Also issues with the shower- Handle kept falling off the wall. Other than that, I would definitely stay here again
