Welcome to “Harborview Beach Escape” by Clearwater Beach Vacation Homes BTR 1685

Harborview Beach Escape is a delightful vacation home situated near the beach. It features 2 inviting bedrooms and 2 modern bathrooms, offering a perfect retreat for a relaxing seaside getaway with stunning harbor views.

Need to Know
The pool heating is typically available from mid-October to mid-April, though colder days may affect the temperature.
-Renters between ages 18-25 must pay REFUNDABLE damage deposit of $1,000.
-Property is monitored by a camera at the middle front of the house and another on the southeast corner looking to the backyard.
-After booking you must sign a contract and send a copy of your ID. YOU HAVE TO SEND IT WITHIN THE FIRST 24 HRS.
-Dogs are welcome with a $150 pet fee per pet
-Down payments are either $1000 or 10% of your total (whatever is greater-than)

Essentials:
-Bed linens and bath towels are provided for guests use.
-Basic essentials such as toilet paper, paper towels, dish detergent, and garbage bags are also provided to get you started with your stay.
-Kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and kitchen ware.

Note: Pool heaters run from Nov 1-April 1 (if pool is not reaching 80 degrees earlier then Nov 1, then we will turn the heater on for your stay, otherwise if the temp is 80 or above we will keep it off. Pool heaters do not run 24 hours a day. Pool pumps run 8-12 hours a day and that is when the pool heaters work. Additionally, pool heaters may not reach temp if when temps drop into the 50s or lower.

Please be advised: Due to our property management account with VRBO, we collect the remaining balance if you are outside the 60-day window after your check-in date and after your down payment has been made. Payment can be made via PayPal with a 4% convenience fee, Zelle with no fee, Venmo with no fee if sent as friends and family, check with no fee, or credit card with a 4% convenience fee. (only for the balance and not the initial down payment)

The house was spacious and so clean! Plenty of room for our family to spread out and our boys loved the pool and game room all to themselves. Burgers by the pool were a big hit. There is a small playground and tennis court about 2 minutes walk that we loved, the neighborhood has beautiful high end homes to enjoy walking past, and the beach had excellent safe pedestrian access with flashing light crosswalks that made it an easy trip. The walk was about 10 minutes but it was flat and paved, and the beach is relatively shallow and flat so once you hit the sand, you’re there. Also an awesome Turkish restaurant right there on the corner. The management company was super responsive and answered all our questions. The grill and beach wagon had to be replaced due to the previous guests but he came quickly and quietly to take care of it. The house itself does need a little TLC because it’s an oldish Florida home, but it has great character.

This home felt cold and unwelcoming. The pictures suggest it is in much better condition than it is. Paint needs touch up in places, there’s a shower curtain in master where a glass door should be, pool tiles cracked. Neighborhood has multiple yard signs rallying against short term rentals. The management company sent out multiple messages about warnings of fines and other repercussions about doing/not doing instead of welcome and enjoy your stay. Our checkin was moved up to 3pm and at 2:59p the code didn’t work. When I inquired this was my response. “Looks like you might have jumped the gun by a minute! No worries, it happens to the best of us.” Isn’t that the exact opposite of what is advertised by VRBO on its commercials? Also, the pool never heated up. We arrived when temperatures were in the 60s so not sure what happened there. Did receive multiple messages that if temperatures fall into the 50s it’s hard for the heater to keep up. And sure enough, that is what happened so we were never able to enjoy the “heated” pool.

Our week in IRB

We enjoyed the week with pool time, eating local seafood at our favorite places, and some shopping & beach time. The house had all the necessary amenities. Our evenings were filled with watching ballgames, etc on the big smart TVs or family games. When there was an issue, it was promptly addressed and resolved. We had a wonderful week.

Spring Break get away

The location was several blocks to the beach; we made the trip by foot and car numerous times. If you have small children there is a very nice park within walking distance. Very nice area to walk our dogs. The house was very open for us to enjoy family gathering time together; and we really enjoyed the front and back porch areas. This was the first time we had use of a pool my grandkids and some of the adults enjoyed the pool most evenings after the day at the beach. We would rent this property again. Thank you for opening your property to our family to enjoy our Spring Break get away.

I was a little disappointed with the maintenance of the property. The 'heated' pool wasn't, and the tile around the pool was falling apart. Also, the hammock pictured, was no where to be found. This could be a very nice property if a little more TLC was put into it.

Amazing!

Everything was exactly as it was supposed to be. The access to the beach was a 5 min walk at most. Amazing food locally within walking distance and not much of a drive to other sights! Our family was more than accommodated (we had a group of 9) whether it was at the pool in the backyard or the short walk to the beach. I will for sure be coming back!

Check in and out was a breeze. The house looked nothing like the photos, there was black mold/mildew in the bathrooms, pool heater was broken, one sliding door out to the pool was jammed/broken, door jam and window sills were very dirty, property managers assured that maintenance would be out to service the pool heater and then none of my emails were returned and maintenance did not arrive. The neighborhood was safe and the neighbors were delightful, the house is conveniently located to the beach and towns.

We stayed Labor Day weekend for my sister’s bachelorette party. Location is prime however house does need updating. Downstairs patio door was hard to close and open, bunk beds were not stable, broken coffee table down stairs, Cable was not working with any of the tv’s. Pool needs updating. One problem we felt very uncomfortable with is the pool cleaners came without notice. We had 12 guest in the pool and we had to wait 2 hours to get back into the pool. The instructions said pool cleaners come twice a week, but we had no notice to days they were coming or even a heads up. Again, location was amazing but don’t know if I would say at the home again just because of the items I listed needed repairs. I believe if upstairs and pool was remodeled this would be an amazing stay.

A great family vacation!

We had a fantastic time! The neighbors we met were very kind. It’s nice and close to a beautiful beach. Yes, as stated in other reviews, the upstairs was more worn, but it was still very clean! The downstairs is all new. Honestly, it was perfectly fitting for our family with 5 kids. 😉 It was great having a pool right there too. Just a great relaxing and fun vacation. We’d definitely stay there again if we went back to that area. 🙂
