Lovely spot with pool, outdoor restaurant and beach - all within a few steps. Live music in the evenings was a great way to wind down while watching the sunset.

Resort was awesome. But one thing if you stay overlooking the pool although it’s a great view nighttime music goes on ALL night til late. So it’s very noisy if you’re looking to relax, watch tv or head to sleep early this is not the room for you. Other than that. Resort was awesome. Tina at front desk, super nice. Todd the bartender was great. Fun and great service. Oscar for breakfast at five was awesome. So friendly Loved this place. Will definitely be back.

Coming back to life

Really good for a property getting back up after the hurricane. Staff a little short made for restaurant delays and we were missed on cleaning one day. All in all a good experience.

You must like live music to go here. We do, however last Friday night when the band finished at midnight , they played DJ music until 1:30 am. It’s a play late, sleep in resort. There are fees for everything. You can use their private beach, but the chairs and umbrellas are run by an outside company and all of the beach is covered with their chairs ($30).

I was deciding between staying at Shepard's and Wyndham Grand. I chose Shepard's and could not have been more pleased. Very clean. Very friendly staff (shoutout to Regina at the front desk). Excellent food and drinks. Shepard's was relaxed and laid back. A more personal atmosphere perfect for a getaway. Ended up getting food by the pool four times. Nachos, fish tacos, grilled caesar wrap. sweet potato fries. All were great and reasonably priced. The pool and hot tub were super clean. We watched the sunset from our balcony. The loud music wasn't really an issue. Our sliding door muffled most of the sound. Probably an 8 min walk to most of the bars/restaurants. I expected some compromises when I booked her but really couldn't think of anything that was an issue. Highly recommend. If you are in between booking here and other similarly priced hotels, you should trust me and book here. I am confident Shepard's will meet or surpass your expectations.

Excellent all around. This place is a gem! Spent 3 nights here with my husband and son and we loved everything about it! The heated pool area and views, 3 bars, plenty of seating. It was immaculately clean. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. And all the food was excellent and so reasonably priced. Everything is in walking distance -you can spend time at the private beach on property or walk 5 minutes up the road to the Clearwater public beach. There’s afternoon and nightly live bands so there was always a great vibe. And plenty of other great places to eat including rooftop bars and sunset views nearby. If you’re looking for the resort experience at a great price this is it! We will definitely be staying here next time we go to Clearwater.
