We were very unhappy with our stay. It started with an email after we booked and paid for the room telling us there were additional charges for beach loungers (not included in listing) and that for our safety we couldn’t use our own chairs (our safety?…what a stupid thing to say). I sent the hotel a message and also let them know that my wife has a bad knee and had difficulty with loungers and asked if we could use our own chairs given this issue. The hotel refused to make any accommodation, essentially preventing us from using the beach. Listing said the room had a city view, but in reality we had a view of their parking ramp including the car alarms going off in the middle of the night. Plus the connecting doors in rooms are so thin we had no trouble listening to our neighbors have a conversation at 1 am. The humidity in the room was awful (and we live in Florida near the beach…but their a/c did nothing to limit the moisture). I would have complained but after the utter indifference shown to a simple accommodation, I had no reason to think they would do anything. We travel frequently and this was the worst hotel experience in years. We absolutely will never stay at another Aspire Collection hotel.
